Job Description

  • We are looking for Seasoned and competent teachers to teach students of diverse age groups in our school.
  • You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process.
  • The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
  • Provide individualized instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings
  • Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
  • Observe and understand students’ behavior and psyche and report suspicions of neglect, abuse etc.
  • Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.
  • Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments etc.)
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a teacher
  • Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures

  • 5 years experience in a teaching environment.
  • Minimum of B.Ed (PGDE or Master’s degree in Education will be an added advantage) with TRCN certificate.

Job Title: Head Teacher
Location:

Job Description

  • The person supports school leadership in implementing the vision and strategic objectives of the schools. Works with the school director to develop polices and ensure systems and controls are in place for academic excellence and operational effectiveness within the schools.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Work with school leadership to implement strategies, policies, plans and initiatives that support the schools’ mission. Support the implementation of academic and pastoral policies to ensure pupils receive the highest standards of education, Promote the mission and values of the school at all levels
  • Management of Staff: Supervise activities of the sectional heads/direct line reports. Ensure that the schools are running optimally and all resource needs are available. Work with School Management and Human Resources to identify people resource needs and support staff recruitment .Motivate, coach and train staff at all levels to ensure continuous professional development .Lead designated staff meetings and programs, Monitor staff welfare.
  • Reporting: Maintain continuous lines of communication with school leadership, keeping them informed of school operations, academic, social and extra-curricular activities
  • Relationship with Parents: Attend and participate in parent meetings Ensure parents receive regular information about the school curriculum, their children’s progress and other matters via appropriate channels, respond to enquiries, complaints and queries from parents.

Education Qualification /Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Ed. (PGDE or Master’s degree in Education will be an added advantage).
  • Should be able to teach subjects in his/her field of qualification. .
  • Excellent leadership abilities.
  • Ability to improve quality of Education by implementing quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian curriculum would be an advantage.
  • Over 10 years’ experience in teaching and working within a school.
  • Up to 7 years’ experience in school management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the primary school curriculum.
