Job Title: Finance Analyst – Personal &  Business Banking

Job Details

  • Finance: budgeting and forecasting, creating interim and annual financial statements, facilitating internal mergers and acquisitions, as well as dealing with analysts and investors.

Job Purpose

  • To manage reporting and provide analytics that assists Business Banking in making appropriate business decisions

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of reports that enable channels (branches) in the personal banking and business banking space have better understanding of their books:
  • Outputs and measures:
    • Preparation of branch profitability reports
    • Preparation of daily branch balance sheet
    • Preparation of daily sales report

Investigation of PBB numbers and the factors that drive them:

  • Outputs and measures:
    • Attend to branch queries on branch profitability and other reports
    • Provide data on performance drivers for the income statement
    • Guiding the branch network on interpretation of financial reports

Partnering with branch network and giving guidance on the how to make the best business decisions:

  • Outputs and measures:
    • Provide data required branch to enhance decision making
    • Attend to adhoc queries from branches including non-financial requests

Participate in budgeting process by collating financial and non-financial indicator to drive the budget:

  • Outputs and measures:
    • Developing template that is easy and understandable to the branch network and business units for budget
    • Guide the various teams as to the preparation of the budget
    • Consolidation of various budget inputs

Preferred Qualification and Experience
Qualification:

  • First Degree in General Social Science, Finance and Accounting
  • Professional accountancy certification

Experience:

  • 1-2 Years Experience in Finance and Accounting

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
Management Accounting:

  • The ability to prepare financial reports of costs, cash flows, revenues and related items to inform management decision making.

Financial Acumen:

  • Knowledge and understanding of costing, budgeting and finance concepts and the understanding and application of related processes and procedures.

    • Provide data required to enhance decision making
    • Attend business banking session to provide financial and non-financial information to drive business performance

Participate in budgeting process by collating financial and non-financial indicator to drive the budget:

  • Outputs and measures:
    • Developing template that is easy and understandable to the business banking units for budget
    • Guide the various teams as to the preparation of the budget
    • Consolidation of various budget inputs

Relationships:

Preferred Qualification and Experience
Qualification:

  • First Degree in General Social Science, Finance and Accounting
  • Professional accountancy certification
  • Master’s Degree in Finance and Accounting

Experience:

  • 1-2 Years Experience in Finance – Business partnering
  • 5-7 Years Experience in Business Support – Operations

  • The ability to prepare financial reports of costs, cash flows, revenues and related items to inform management decision making.

Financial Acumen:
