Job Title: Head, Proposal & Tendering

Location: Lagos
Reports to – Manager, Commercial

Job Objectives

  • To provide cost estimates for the development and execution of the project plan, perform quality assurance on cost control procedures, and monitor costs and collect cost data to ensure conformity with management’s budget directives

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct rate analysis and project costing using appropriate models and develop new models as may be required
  • Interpret bid specifications and requirements designs and drawings and ensure that all that is required for projects is captured
  • Invite and interpret quotations from external vendors/ sub-contractors and negotiate with them as may be required
  • Participate in tendering by preparing tender submittals such as method statement, project schedule, bar chart, histogram, site organisation chart, S curve, etc
  • Work with divisions to review job costs and agree on submissions to be included in tender
  • Carry out quantity estimation
  • Specify items and material rates and prepare Bill of Quantities or Bill of Materials
  • Carry out cost and material reconciliation as may be required.

Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:

  • A first degree in Engineering
  • A post graduate degree in MBA will be an added advantage
  • Minimum Experience: 8 – 10 years of experience

Job Title: Commodity Trader (Industrial Chemicals & Agrochemicals)

Location: Lagos
Reports to: General Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect opportunities for sourcing and marketing of industial chemicals and agrochemicals.
  • Close coordination with buyers, suppliers, C&F agents, surveyors and warehouse staff.
  • Monitor all payments and manage contract Profit & Loss per vessel/shipment.
  • Payables and receivables reconciliation.
  • Assist with regular port and warehouse visits to check and report on cargo operations.
  • Accurate stock management and valuation of different grades of commodities and issuing of appropriate reports.
  • Accountable for the registration, submissions and finalization of insurance claims.
  • Monitoring and managing all cross-trade shipments, imports and exports.
  • Monitoring credit sales documents and follow up with clients.
  • Initiate sales deals with customers and follow up on regular basis
  • Cultivate new sales leads to establish business
  • Provide follow-up customer satisfaction with clients as needed
  • Work closely with logistics companies to ensure customer freight is being moved efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A good University Degree in any relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in material handling of industrial chemicals and agrochemicals throughout the value-chain of sourcing, warehousing, and distribution/sales etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Applicants without the required cognate experience will not be shortlisted for interview.

Job Title: Electrical/Mechanical Engineer

Location: Lagos
Reports to: General Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages projects using engineering principles and techniques.
  • Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems by conducting research programs and making recommendations on best solutions.
  • Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- equipment and system capabilities; confirming assembly, and installation processes.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
  • Provides technical advice assess project requirements, service and maintain equipment.
  • Measures the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines
  • Maintains and modify equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient.
  • Read design specifications and technical drawings on every equipment purchased before installation.
  • Research suitable solutions and estimate costs and timescales required per project/repairs Electrical
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, apply knowledge of electricity and materials.
  • Install and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards
  • Use computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform engineering tasks as required.
  • Provide quality assurance for ongoing projects
  • Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research; applying knowledge of electricity and materials
  • Confirms system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties as required.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provides engineering and mechanical information by answering questions and requests.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A good University degree in any relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position
  • French speaking is an added advantage
  • Experience in rural Electrification and Solar Energy will be an added advantage
