Job Title: Warehouse Officer

Job Summary

  • Perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
  • Open bales, crates and other containers
  • Assists to maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Wear the proper safety equipment

Qualification Requirements

  • B.Sc in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration or Diploma in related discipline
  • 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
  • Dependable and Reliable
  • Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required

Physical Demands and Abilities:

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects and occasionally lift and/or move objects in a safe manner.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Descriptions

  • We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits.
  • Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload
  • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices

  • Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
  • Involved in preparing the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records and is accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.
  • Responsible for preparing the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc., and coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.
  • Makes sure to get rid of the surplus or obsolete stock.
  • Maintain record of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • To be involved in reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system
  • To oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever there is a requirement. Similarly, he/she ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse
  • To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated staff members
  • To supervise the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etc., and consignment so that it can be accessed and identified easily
  • To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking
  • Responsible for keeping a close eye on the movement of stock from in and out of the warehouse.
  • Preparing the weekly reports of all the activities in the warehouse like the consignment received, the quantity of items received, point of collection and dispatch, stacking number, outstanding balance, etc.
  • He/she provides the best service needs to the existing as well as the new customers and ensures that each and every customer remains satisfied.
  • Oversees the cycle counting programs for the distribution centers as well as the stores.
  • Adopts and maintains the best operational procedures and practices for inventory control.
  • Find out discrepancies and determines the root cause for the issue found

Requirements

  • B.Sc Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration with over 6 year’s experience
  • Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor
  • Calm demeanor and level head for trouble shooting and handling a variety of issues as they arise
  • Ability to develop and carry out policies and procedures
  • Effective and professional demeanor when engaging customers
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to delegate
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
