Job Title: Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description
The successful Candidate will be primarily responsible for the following:

  • Undertaking a Review of the State of Affairs of the Business, Preparing and Executing a Turnaround Plan for the Business
  • General management and providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Board of directors and the management team to establish short, medium and long-term goals, strategies, plans and policies
  • Ensure efficient Company operations that deliver customer satisfaction and retention
  • Developing new business initiatives that deliver new sources of revenue
  • Analyses risks and comes up with strategies for managing them and ensuring that the Company’s assets are adequately safeguarded and maintained
  • Exercise the requisite competence over the Company’s financial performance by defining realistic yet ambitious annual budgetary projections based on the underlying philosophy of the Company
  • Ensure that budget forecast in terms of sales, revenues, costs, profit as well as market share for the Company is achieved
  • Proffer implementable strategies for improving the Company’s revenue by enhancing productivity and total operating margin
  • Provide demonstrable managerial and administrative leadership and Project Management oversight in the administration of the affairs of the Company by driving its plans and projects to success on an ongoing basis
  • Responsible for fostering a culture that promotes customer focus, ethical practices, integrity, a positive work climate and high performance – enabling the business to attract and a motivated workforce


  • Master of Business Administration combined with a Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Sciences or Social Sciences
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and written proficiency in English
  • Excellent command of the relevant IT tools/ programs and professional standards
  • Negotiation, team building and collaboration skills
  • Good people management skills and experience
  • Excellent Presentation Skills.
  • Minimum 15 years work experience in the FMCG sector with at least 8 of these years in management roles
  • Extensive knowledge of the FMCG industry either in Manufacturing and/ or Sales
  • Extensive experience in managing Sales & Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Distribution and HR & Administration
  • Proven leadership skills, having successfully managed significant business units and proven the ability to lead and grow successful teams
