An Insurance Brokerage firm with international affiliation and a sub of financial holding company is currently seeking to hire qualified candidate to fill the vacant position below:

Job Title: Underwriter/Claim Officer

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Examining insurance proposals
  • Collecting background information and assessments of risk
  • Analyzing statistical data using specialist computer programmes
  • Writing quotes and negotiating the terms with brokers and clients
  • Determining premiums
  • Deciding the wording of policies
  • Preparing insurance policy terms and conditions
  • Liaising with insurance brokers and customers.

Qualification and Skills

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of post NYSC work period, with at least 3 years working experience in the underwriting or claims department.
  • A minimum of Diploma from Chartered Institute of Insurance Nigeria.
  • Sound communication
  • Computer literacy
  • Individual must have a good knowledge of the regulation and laws of the Insurance Industry in Nigeria.

 

Job Title: Senior Manager, Business Development

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • To drive Insurance brokerage of the group realizing the opportunities from the captive and open market.
  • To design strategy, planning and execution of the group objective
  • Operate daily activity of the Brokers unit
  • File to regulators and association
  • Monitoring of activities of the marketing representative and claim settlement
  • Developing relationship with underwriting companies.
  • Manage the relationship between the unit and other subsidiaries
  • Report directly to the Group Managing Director and present strategy of the subsidiary to the Group office.

Qualification and Skills

  • Minimum of 5-10 years post NYSC working period, with at least 4 years experience with an Insurance Broker or Underwriting company.
  • The person must have passed the certificate stage of the Chartered Institute Insurance Nigeria but a good knowledge of the regulatory standards and laws can be considered.
  • A minimum of 2 years Managerial role.
  • Leadership Position.
  • Sound communication
  • Marketing, Strategy and high network relationship within the Industry.
  • Bancassurance experience
  • Relationship with the industry regulator and association.
