Job Title: Reinsurance Administration Specialist

Introduction

  • Individually accountable to performing routine reinsurance administrative duties while ensuring reinsurance information are recorded accurately.
  • A Reinsurance Administrator specialist is fully multi-skilled across products & processes, and has extensive relevant experience.

Description

  • Follows standardised processes and provides administrative support in line with normal business functioning.
  • Delivers on daily operational standards and adheres to service and quality standards.
  • Provides an indirect service to customers and intermediaries.
  • Responds to immediate requirements within procedure.
  • Uses standard administrative techniques to coordinate own work.
  • Product and process knowledge in different areas may differ but basic skills remain the same.
  • Fully multi-skilled across products and processes.
  • Has extensive, relevant experience.

Key Result Areas
Documentation Processing:

  • Efficient management of Facultative inward portfolio.
  • Monitor the company’s risk portfolios, analyse and recommend risks for facultative outward placements.
  • Debiting and processing of payment.
  • Prepare and render quarterly treaty returns.
  • Prepare and review paid & outstanding loss bordereaux.
  • Prepare and interpret various reinsurance statistics.
  • Ensure timely delivery of regulatory returns.
  • Follows standardized processes and provides administrative support in line with normal business functioning.
  • Weekly reporting.
  • Uses standard administrative techniques to coordinate own work.
  • Prepare meeting reports/ presentations.
  • Interface with the other departments.

  • Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:

  • A first degree or its equivalent.
  • Good Analytical skills.
  • Technical/insurance product knowledge and relevant experience would be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite

Job Title: Financial Advisor

  • This role is individually accountable for providing advice on a specific range of products to a specific allocated market.

Description

  • Obtaining detailed information about the customer, their business and provide advice in line with the customer value proposition & compliance framework.
  • Rendering advice to the customer on appropriate insurance cover and terms.
  • Maintaining detailed knowledge of available insurance products for consideration of a client.
  • Providing quotation on the insurance products for consideration of a client.
  • Providing requisite underwriting information to the insurer in assessing the risk to decide pricing terms and conditions for cover.
  • Acting promptly on instructions from a customer and providing him written acknowledgements of risk by the insurer.
  • Complying with the guideline on market conduct and business practice for insurance institutions in Nigeria.
  • Assisting customers in processing claims in line with the provisions of the “claims management procedure” of the company represented.
  • Assisting in the negotiation of claims, protecting salvage and subrogation rights of the insurer.
  • Maintaining proper records of claims and businesses generated.
  • Develops, tracks & reviews business plan to meet individual performance targets.
  • Work with a specific range of products.

Job Description

  • Collation of sales leads  generated via referrals from the assigned bank partner
  • Make appointments; explore the customers’ financial needs in life-related investment and insurance needs areas, select appropriate   product to meet these needs from the company’s product range.
  • Direct selling of various financial products to the customers with a view to meeting set sales targets.
  • Basic quality check and processing of completed policy forms and KYC documents
  • Post- sales servicing and customer relationship management
  • Compiling a database of the Ecobank foot falls and generated prospects from walk-in customers

  • Selling skills and experience (an advantage)
  • Knowledge of Insurance or Banking products (an advantage)
  • Great interpersonal skills.
