Innovectives facilitates digital, mobile and e-payment payment services such as Customer-to-Customer [C2C] Business-to- Business [B2B], Business-to-customer [B2C], Customer-to-Business [C2B], Business-to-Government [B2G], Government-to-Citizen [G2C] transactions across Africa.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Risk & Control Manager

Location: Lagos

Role Summary

  • We are looking for a Risk & Control Manager to support our business
  • You will support the Head of Risk & Compliance in embedding risk policies and procedures, providing assurance on the effectiveness of the team and ensuring compliance with regulatory stipulations, controls; and adherence to documented procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation and documentation of Innovectives’ risk & compliance plan
  • Ensure implementation of and adherence to risk & compliance policies and procedures.
  • Create awareness and improve homogenous compliance culture.
  • Ensure KYC/AML & CTF policies are kept up to date in line with CBN’s / FATF regulations.
  • Ensure identified and potential risks within the Company are flagged, measured, monitored and managed
  • Maintain and update risk register
  • Monitor the operational risk environment using key risk indicators and ensure an effective reporting and actioning system is in place
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent regulatory breaches
  • Assist in facilitating and coordinating the process of identifying and assessing the impact of all new regulatory requirements
  • Assist in facilitating and coordinating risk and AML/KYC compliance workshops
  • Complete and maintain the regulatory compliance grid
  • Conduct internal training / refresher training for staff on KYC/AML/CFT compliance, identification of suspicious transactions and reporting requirements
  • Ensure Innovectives does not suffer any loss as a result of regulatory non-compliance
  • Monitor Innovectives overall compliance status
  • Carry out unannounced field visit to clients’ business locations before or after loan approval as the case may be
  • Ensure that incidents are analysed to identify control weaknesses and areas of improvement, if possible and that they are communicated to appropriate departments and follow-ups (recoveries, disciplinary hearings, dismissals, insurance claims) reported
  • Ensure risk is comprehensively reported in a timely manner
  • Ensure satisfactory audit for the risk & compliance department.

Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree in Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Finance or any numerate discipline
  • An MBA will be a plus
  • A Law Degree can be considered if there is an MBA
  • Knowledge of internal control processes and requirements
  • Ability to observe and analyse business processes
  • Experience in risk management and compliance regulations for Banks
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite.
