Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Responsible for the timely completion and overall success of various types of construction projects for a General Contractor
  • Proficient in the use of Ms Projects and other Project planning tools
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises the same as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and customers on value engineering ideas if needed to meet a customer budget
  • Discuss any construction issue with vendors prior to finalizing any bids and share those issues with customer or design team
  • Establish and maintain customer correspondence and relationships
  • Verify customer purchase orders, contracts, and other related paperwork are accurate and in place prior to project commencement
  • Identifies resources needed with management so projects are operating at most cost effective and successful potential
  • Assist in the estimating functions of the company
  • Solicit vendors for bids on new projects
  • Review and scope bids for completeness and in accordance with the contract documents
  • Establish and maintain open communication links with designated customer representatives
  • Ensures project documents are accessible, complete, current, and stored appropriately within the company
  • Hosts regular schedule customer meetings including other project consultants
  • Continue business development on a regular basis to ensure customers work with us on future projects
  • Coordinate Job Progress
  • Responsible for overall project financial progress and success
  • Meet periodically with management to review project financial statements
  • Ensure all project change orders and purchase orders are current with client and vendors so job costs are up to date
  • Review job cost projections on a weekly basis to help avoid discrepancies in actual compared to estimate
  • Other duties assigned to help the company meet the goals and expectations
  • Good working within teams, able to self motivate, and manage time efficiently

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in Estate Management, Engineering, Building Science or relevant field
  • 3-5 years of project management and related experience
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, software, materials and project management principles

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Job Type: Full-time

Job Description
Candidate would be responsible for managing the costs on construction project. To ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget. Procure the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project and measure and value the work done on site:

  • Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved.
  • Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involve liaising with architects, engineers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
  • Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
  •  Monitor and keep track of project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final account.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered.
  • Carry out monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting of final costs and sales.
  • Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
  • Commercial vetting of sub contractor tenders and contracts.
  • Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
  • Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, always understood and followed.
  • Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable.
  • Monitor all commercial information in relation to project including labour, material and sub contractor cost forecasting thus ensuring budgets adhered to.
  • Supply all relevant information to the Manager and or the Managing Director for review at the specified intervals set.
  • Assist General Manager and or the Managing Director with a range of other duties as may be required from time to time

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying with minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • In-depth experience of Quantity Survey.
  • Demonstrable experience in the following areas: Project management, Budget management, Construction procurement, Collaborative/partnership

Job Title: Architect

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for a passionate Architect to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction.
  • You will be involved in new building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations and revamps from taking the client’s brief stage right through to completion.
  • The goal is to match client’s needs and to produce sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with clients to discuss project objectives, needs, and budget
  • Preparing and presenting design proposals, including detailed drawings of finished buildings, renovations, or restorations
  • Ability to use Microsoft Projects proficiently.
  • Meeting with construction professionals and clients to discuss feasibility of designs
  • Reviewing local rules and regulations to ensure the construction project falls within all constraints
  • Creating detailed drawings and specifications for architectural projects
  • Specifying the materials needed for construction of projects
  • Working with computer-aided design software to create blueprints and images
  • Working with contractors, surveyors, and building service engineers to create a construction schedule and bring the designs to fruition
  • Coordinating work between various contractors
  • Supervising construction of buildings to ensure projects meet deadlines, stay on budget, and adhere to the original vision for the design
  • Visiting proposed locations and building sites
  • Resolving issues that come up during construction
  • Participating in project management throughout the construction

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years Cognate work experience.
  • BSc. in Architecture.
  • Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3d Studio VIZ or similar)
  • Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
  • Visual awareness and an eye for detail
