Job Descriptions

  • Development & maintenance of department skills matrix, i.e Current Skills , Shift training plan and Skills Maintenance.
  • Facilitate technical skills and knowledge transfer at the Mill in accordance with the Skills competence gaps assessments
  • Development & maintenance of training documentation:
    • Standard Operating Procedures
    • Reference Manuals / Vendor Material
    • Training Guides
    • Assessment Instruments
  • Coordination & actioning of:
    • Area Induction
    • Individual Training Plans
    • Training Guide
    • Assessment
  • Co-ordinate training as per the site training strategy, departmental objectives and legislative requirements
  • Schedule training against training plans for operational, & staff personnel
  • Champion training to the department
  • Facilitate Mill specific EHS induction & Conduct training emanating from Safety incident investigation
  • Support site leaders in incident & accident investigation through technical training knowledge & providing training records
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety & environmental training through compliance day training to address non-compliances
  • Follow-up, evaluate and provide feedback on training
  • Design & develop training programs
  • Deliver training & skill development programs
  • Undertake regular reviews of training and skill development programmes
  • Support on job training by coordinating resources and activities and reviewing progress
  • Evaluate bursary applications and submit for approval
