Job Title: PHP Developer

Loaction: Lagos

Details

  • The PHP position is designed to be the technical force behind LBS learning management servers.
  • The position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the system and build widgets based on instructional and technical needs.

Essential Duties / Key Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the three Leaning Management server deployed for managing in class and online course delivery
  • Deliver cross functional and rapid application development using PhP language
  • Work collaboratively with the ICT business unit
  • Develop new software web services and APIs for integration into existing systems are delivered to the requirements of the business, the integrity of the live environment is protected, and ensure a thorough understanding of the underlying databases is maintained.
  • Use collaboration and software management tools and programming best practices to ensure development is managed a controlled environment as standard practice.
  • Ensure the accuracy and availability of documentation on systems architecture, configurations, procedures and service support documentation.
  • The ongoing monitoring of technology performance and identify risks and opportunities for improvement, communicating the impact of any changes to IT systems to the business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science or Computer Engineering field preferred; Bachelor’s in other fields considered with experience in instructional design fundamentals

Experience:

  • 2-3 years Experience in in web development and PHP. Any additional computer language experience is a plus.
  • Expertise in Moodle, Google Drive (including Google Docs and Sheets), Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.

Certifications:

  • PHP certification desirable but can be obtained after employment

Job Title: LMS Administrator

Location: Lagos

Details

  • The LMS Administrator Assistant position has become essential as digital learning activities is increasing.
  • The position is to provide administrative support to ensure that faculty and students are being adequately served.

Essential Duties / Key Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Receive requests for synchronous sessions/meetings and schedule online sessions on the Zoom web conferencing platform.
  • Run technical checks on equipment and prepare facilitators for their online sessions/meetings.
  • Compile attendance records after each online session/meeting.
  • Preview, edit, and make recordings of online sessions available to participants and programme managers.
  • Receive and process requests for creation of course environments
  • Create user accounts for new programme participants upon request.
  • Provide first line technical help for LMS issues and to day-to-day inquiries, requests and complaints from students, program managers/coordinators and faculty. (Examples are password resets, how to use a feature on the LMS, suspension of students from the LMS, user enrolment, adjustments to course environments, etc).

Qualifications

  • Good first degree in Education field, Bachelor’s in other fields will be considered

Experience:

Job Title: Multimedia Video Producer

Location: Lagos

Details

  • The Multimedia Video Producer is pivotal in the development of instructional video materials by working with faculty and other stakeholders in creating content that is relevant to course offerings.

Essential Duties / Key Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for course content, course promotional videos, training and other instructional projects
  • Script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for projects
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Plan video shoots; scout, select and reserve shoot locations
  • Develop production schedules
  • Select and hire additional crew and talent; direct and coach talent; make transportation arrangements for crew, talent and equipment; and ensure all location power needs are met
  • Reserve and rent equipment
  • Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media
  • Manage video library
  • Evaluate analytics

Qualifications

  • Good first-degree BA /BFA in Multimedia Production, Bachelor’s in other fields will be considered.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years Experience in video production fundamentals. Expertise in Moodle, Google Drive (including Google Docs and Sheets), Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Expertise with graphic design principles preferred.  Familiarity with ID models preferred

Competencies and Skills for the Role:
To be successful in the role the candidate would be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Familiarity with Video production tools – includes familiarity with professional cameras (Sony PMW-F3 or similar), prosumer camcorders (Sony NXCAM HXR‑NX3 or similar), various HD and SD formats, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding and photography.
  • Familiarity with Video production tools – Audio includes small format mixers, compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track and waveform editing.
  • Skills and experience in post-production – entails digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere.

Job Title: Instructional Designer

Location: Lagos

Details

  • The Instructional Designer supports faculty in course development/design processes, evaluates course design and instructional practices, and coordinates and develops instructional materials in any modality, including face-to-face, in order to enhance the pedagogy of any class.
  • The Instructional Designer – investigates educational technologies and works in collaboration with faculty to design, develop, effectively utilize, and evaluate the instructional environment and learning materials in order to meet the teaching and learning goals of faculty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with faculty in any teaching modality, including online, blended, and face-to-face in order to enhance the pedagogy of any class.
  • Works with faculty on the development of online and blended courses and ensures course quality through the appropriate blend of pedagogy and technology based on learning theory and instructional design practices.
  • Provides consultations and serves as a resource to faculty on the design, development, evaluation, and revision of learning outcomes, course modality, high-impact learning practices, and accessibility issues, copyright, and effective assessment strategies.
  • Supports faculty use of instructional technologies through training and tutorials, troubleshooting, and providing other support services as needed.
  • Improves the level of understanding of the instructional ecosystem by providing webcasts, workshops, and other resources in support of research-based learning.
  • Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
  • Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, attending training and/or courses as directed by the Director, IDT
  • Contributes to the overall success of the online, blended, and face-to-face education program by performing all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, Educational Technology or a related discipline is required;
  • A Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

Cognate Experience:

  • 3-4 years Experience in instructional design fundamentals. Expertise in Moodle, Google Drive (including Google Docs and Sheets), Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Expertise with graphic design principles preferred.  Familiarity with ID models preferred

Certifications:

  • Certificate in Instructional Design will be a plus.

Job Title: Learning Design Assistant

Location: Lagos

Details

  • The Learning Design Assistant will support the IDT team in the implementation and review of instructional materials for in- class and online courses using the Moodle Learning.

Essential Duties/Key Job Roles And Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with faculty and the LBS staff to develop and upload all new Online courses in Moodle.
  • Download and edit recorded videos, import existing online courses each semester in Moodle, checking for accuracy and
  • Updating links and resources.
  • Assist the Instructional Design and Technology team with implementing in evaluating courses to improve the quality and effectiveness
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications

  • Good first degree in education field. Bachelor’s in other fields will be considered

Experience:
