Job Title: Tunnel Expert
Location: Nigeria – Remote

Brief Description
- The project consists of providing technical assistance to the project implementation unit for the development of the Abidjan-Lagos highway.
Mission Purpose
- Review Feasibility Studies, Preliminary/Detail Designs Reports submitted by Design & Engineering Consultants, and issue recommendations.
Must-Have Qualifications and Experience
- Must possess a Master of Civil Engineering / Public Works / Geotechnical Engineering / Structural Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Should have at least fifteen (15) years of experience in the field of tunnel design, construction, or operations.
- He / she must have occupied a post of Tunnel Expert for at least two (2) feasibility / detailed engineering studies of tunnels during the past 10 years.
- Involvement in at least one (1) Tunnel Operation project during the past 10 years will be required.
- He / she must be fluent in either English or French with a working knowledge of the other language.

- Brings at least twenty (20) years’ experience in designing and conducting traffic studies for major road projects;
- Have participated in at least three (03) highway projects as a traffic engineer
- Have carried out at least two (2) highway projects in Africa
- Fluent in French or English with a working knowledge of the other.

Job Title: Transport Facilitation Specialist

- The project consists of providing technical assistance to the project implementation unit for the development of the Abidjan-Lagos highway.
Must-Have Qualifications and Experience
- At least a Master’s Degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Transport Economics, Transport Logistics Planning, Policy or Planning;
- At least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in transport facilitation, Transit or cross border transport-related issues;
- Have working experience with a regional or international organization on at least 2 similar projects
- Evidence of having conducted at least two (2) similar assignments (policy analysis and formulation in the road and rail transport sector including Port operations);
- Have prepared at least two (2) Terms of Reference for studies in the area of transport facilitation and transit for Consultancy services to be procured
- Experience in the planning, preparation, and coordination of donor funded with proven experience of donor procurement procedures (ADB, EU, World Bank). one (1) similar assignment;
- Fluent in English or French Languages. with a working knowledge of the other.
