Job Title: Logistics Officer

Job Description

  • The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of vessel planning and scheduling activities. The role is client facing with a focus on selling and filling open space on each voyage which requires a strong commercial sense. The role has a voyage coordinator and voyage administrator
  • Act as focal point for all Logistics Cargo Operations offshore, providing control, support and guidance as required.
  • Responsible to safely and effectively manage and control the logistics marine activity for the contracted parties to the Company.
  • Supervising administrative activities supporting each voyage.
  • Commercialize additional deck / tank capacity that is available with Clients.
  • Recommend performance improvement plan for both the Company and Client
  • Optimize supply vessel routing in line with operational requirements and voyage KPIs, ensuring that any changes to routings or estimated arrival times are communicated to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Record all vessel activities for the purpose of track and trace visibility, billing, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with all contracted parties and legislative requirements for marine logistics activities including the management of vessel sailings to ensure safe and continuous offshore operations.
  • Assist where directed in the event of Emergency Response.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Appropriate degree or equivalent Graduate Qualification in Transport / Logistics.
  • APICS CLTD certified or similar (preferred).

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within Marine Logistics / Supply Base or Freight Forwarding, supervising administration colleagues
  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial, operation, planning and administration.

Job Description

  • The Voyage Operator will be responsible for the execution of vessel schedules with all related documentation and voyage registration requirements

Major activities:

  • Act as focal point for specific vessel voyages between clients, supply base operators and vessel crew.
  • Responsible to control vessels voyages safely and effectively for the contracted parties to the Company.
  • Communicate any changes to routings or estimated arrival times to all stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Prepare all required documentation prior to vessel’s departure.
  • Record all vessel activities for the purpose of track and trace visibility, billing, and performance monitoring.
  • Prepare documentation after completion of each voyage for final billing.
  • Ensure compliance with all contracted parties and legislative requirements for marine logistics activities.
  • Assist where directed in the event of Emergency Response.
  • Assist in any other Logistics Supply (Project) activity as required

Requirements

Job Title: Head of Logistics

Primary Objective

  • To lead the business development and commercialization efforts of the Offshore Logistics ambition in the Africa region; working with the regional Country Managers and supporting the VP Logistics to ensure contract wins and execution of contracts.

Major Activities
Commercial:

  • Lead the Commercial activities for the Company in the Africa region;
  • Coordinate the deployment of all the Company’s assets to ensure optimal utilization and revenues are achieved;
  • Support in developing and implementation of Contracting strategy in alignment with Strategic Priorities;
  • Develop and / or review all tenders & offers in line with Company’s Commercial Directives including:
  • Assisting tendering process across division to adopt optimal pricing parameters, using up to date costing information provided by the finance function;
  • Ensuring completeness of all bids, and advising on tendering strategy;
  • Detailed review of bid cost and pricing summaries
  • Advising on appropriate insurance to mitigate against all risks;
  • Coordinate and monitor of contract execution by:
  • Consolidating progress and value reporting for analysis by senior management team;
  • Advising on variation and potential risks;
  • Advising on invoicing and recoveries;
  • Review the close-out of all contracts to:
  • Auditing the overall execution of projects to contract;
  • Help to develop processes and procedures for the effective coordination and management of major Contracts across the Business;
  • Assist with market development strategy for the assigned region

Business Development:

  • Lead the development of new business opportunities for the company in the region
  • Lead client relationships in relevant relationship negotiations of new large contracts with new clients
  • Develop new opportunities in line with the commercial strategy (new markets, relationship development of potential joint venture partners, new investment projects)
  • Develop new markets and segments within the region
  • Support tender reviews and coordinate and monitor contract execution of new business

Marketing:

  • Develop and maintain a process of continual engagement with key clients, and monitor regional Client contacts;
  • Maintains close internal relationships with Operations, Commercial and Finance across the Business to ensure transparency in contract reporting and information access.
  • Reputation: promote the reputation of the organization in all dealings with the Marine Community and clients.

Reporting:
