We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Kerildbert Holdings Limited, a supply chain logistics service provider is seeking to engage a qualified Finance Manager who would contribute to the organization’s success by analyzing everyday financial activities, subsequently providing advice and guidance to senior management on future financial plans, ensuring that income and expenditure are properly managed and financial controls are in place and adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the annual operating and strategic plan for the business unit (includes working capital and cash flow projections)
  • Ensure all the Key Account Manager & Transport Brokers operates in line with the budget for the job
  • Prepare financial analysis regularly to aid management decision-making
  • Prepare budgets in line with the Service Level Agreements of each job
  • Provide clarity on cost optimization opportunities, and revenue-generating schemes
  • Use QuickBooks to ensure proper record keeping of all financial information
  • Conduct financial analysis to determine the profitability of projects and the business in general
  • Track KHL financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Ensure completeness, correctness and accuracy of all accounting records and transactions
  • Ensure internal control processes are working optimally
  • Ensure adequacy of reconciliation with 3rd party logistics providers on each transaction embarked with them
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliation statements
  •  Document weekly receivables and cash flow analysis
  • Prepare monthly budget reviews and profit/margin analysis
  • Ensure all tax payment (PAYE) is remitted promptly and duly
  • Track all outstanding and follow up on their payment
  • Maintain ledgers of creditors and debtors making sure that the entries are entered accurately into the accounting software
  • Interpret and clarify policies and procedures related to invoicing
  • Review, analyze, and resolve errors in invoices and other materials to ensure compliance with all necessary regulations
  • Follow up with tax consultant on revenue and credit note on payment made
  • Liaise with 3rd Party Persons, that is, Auditors and Tax Consultants
  • Ensure accuracy in posting and invoice should be sent immediately to clients

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related field
  • Practical knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
  • 4 or more years of experience as Transportation/Logistics Operations Support
  • Membership of ICAN/ACCA is compulsory
  • Up to date knowledge of IFRS Standards and other Accounting Laws in Nigeria

Skills Requirements:

  • Ability to create reports and financial statements clearly and error-free
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information both verbally and on excel in a manner that can be understood by stakeholders
  • Possess sound knowledge of financial accounting and cost-benefit analysis
  • Have an understanding and ability to analyze the financial documents and statements
  • Ability to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Online QuickBooks
  • Ability to deeply understand Kerildbert’s business principles, needs and practices in line with growth objectives
  • Ability to use personal initiative to source for prospective businesses for Kerildbert
  • A proactive individual with excellent numeric and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage others.
