Job Summary

Our client is looking for a business development Officerto identifying and following up on sales leads, pitching our products and services to new clients, maintain a good relationship with old clients, while proffering and applying effective sales strategies to ensure the growth of the business.

Job responsibility

  • Develop and sustain relationships with company stakeholders and customers through excellent salesmanship.
  • Social media marketing.
  • Analyze customer feedback to ascertain customers satisfaction with our company products and services and incorporate these into the growth plan.
  • Develop business proposals for new and existing customers and stay up to date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions.
  • Work with the line director to prepare the annual marketing budget and track the expenses against the budget.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed client relationship database and utilize it to manage customer contacts and mailing lists.
  • Provide insight into product development and competitive positioning through critical and analytical thinking
  • Anticipate and report on clients’ imminent needs.
  • Manage customer calls and appointments effectively for new opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Present viable and cost-effective methods of pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Actively participate in key trade & business associations to generate leads and increase products’ visibility
  • Produce sales presentations on behalf of the company.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and ways to offer services to clients.
  • Promote our products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales contracts.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback to the company and our clients.
  • Work with the recruitment team to hire, onboard and guide incoming business development / sales team members.

Job Requirements:

  • 2- 5 years of experience
  • BSc or HND level of education
  • Excellent MS Office and presentation skills.
  • Excellent documentation organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience in a similar role.
