We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Generator Operator and Maintenance Officer

Locations: Aba – Abia and Ilishan – Ogun
Employment Type: Contract

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate diesel generator.
  • Troubleshoot diesel engines, 3-phase generators, and transfer switches as they apply to various equipment and systems when voltage, amperage, cycles and phases show defects.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on diesel generators checking for worn parts and leaks.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of diesel generators whenever fault occurs.
  • Responsible for top or complete overhauling of Diesel Generator.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years cognate experience as a Generator Maintenance Officer.
  • Seasoned technician with a minimum of TTC / NABTEB / Diploma / OND qualifications.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Detailed and goal oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proximity to Aba is a plus or a desire to relocate.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written).

Competencies:

  • Hands on working experience on the mechanical parts of a diesel generator
  • Well experienced in servicing and trouble shooting of all mechanical system problems in Diesel Engine Generator Sets
  • Well familiar with CAT Diesel Engine Generator
