Job Title: Account Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Overall Job Summary
- You will be required to focus on computing and recording day-to-day financial calculations,
- Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, preparing taxes and checking financial
- Records for errors.You are required to think analytically and mathematically, stay
- Responsible for analysing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to
- Predict future revenues and expenses.
- Organized, communicate clearly and have an attention to detail.
Accountant Duties and Responsibility
- Preparing accounts and tax returns
- Monitoring spending and budgets and Preparing budget forecasts
- Auditing and analysing financial performance
- Financial forecasting and risk analysis
- Advising on how to reduce costs and increase profits
- Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports
- Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
- Keeping account books and systems up to date.
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

Requirements
- Candidates should possess an HND, Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in relevant fields with 3 – 5 years work experience.
