Description

  • Analyze and track relevant data based on well-articulated assumptions of progress against commitments of partnerships & new business Ventures to the bottom line.
  • Draft monthly financial reports for partnerships & new venture entities in collaboration with the internal/group finance teams to ensure the financial health of a portfolio of strategic partnerships & ventures with accountability for quality status reports, analysis and timely advice and guidance to upper Management on future strategic plans.
  • Support Innovation activities by generating compelling value propositions to achieve the unit’s objectives.
  • Utilize project management disciplines for individual Project management and Program management across the strategy and innovation office
  • Continuously review Initiatives, action plans, KPI’s and business plans for innovation. Highlight gaps to set objectives and deviations.
  • Conduct monthly assessment, tracking and reporting of innovation Initiatives using the MTNN Ecosystem Partnership framework, assessment of competitive landscape, formulation of business case and defining target markets.
  • Track progress of the Initiatives by Identifying, highlighting and reporting any issues that merit further investigation by the innovation team.
  • Conduct research to support the activities of the Innovation team
  • Support ideation activities with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze and report technology waves and customer insights related to content, multimedia and portal services
  • Prepare and give business reviews to the Innovation team leadership regarding progress on/and impediments to achieving operational objectives.
  • Provide prompt updates on actions, progress and issues around initiatives during internal and external stakeholder meetings, where required
  • Support management of the Product & Services Steerco process
  • Collaborate with Ecosystem Partnerships to achieve both business-impact and social-impact Initiatives
  • Research, analyze and report on venture development plans while collaborating with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop good working relationships with relevant business units to achieve Initiatives within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with Ecosystem Partnerships to translate shared Visions into impactful Initiatives and Projects.
  • Provide prompt updates on actions, progress and issues around Initiatives during internal and external stakeholder meetings, where required.

Requirements
Education:

  • First Degree in any relevant discipline
  • Possession of Project Management certification or an MBA is advantageous
  • Fluent in English.

Experience:
3 – 7 years’ experience which includes:

  • Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise (understanding of emerging markets is advantageous)
  • Proven project management or business analysis experience
  • Strategic outlook and attention to detail
  • High-performing individual with strong standing, credibility across organization and a natural internal network.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound business judgment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to help others organize problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills; strong networking and influencing skills
  • Experience designing and making presentations
  • Experience working with Tech/startup ecosystem on emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of relevant software skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Wave).
