God’s City International Church is a multicultural church inaugurated on the 1st of May 2016 under the leadership of Pastor Matthew and Pastor Mrs. Mary Morakinyo with an assignment to preach the gospel and with the help of the Holy Spirit, deliver people from sin, sickness, power of darkness, poverty, restoration of destiny and nurture them to be a mobile fire to also carry out the same assignment.

Job Title: ICT Officer

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)

Overview

  • We are seeking an ICT Officer. He/She is the reference point for all ICT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.
  • He/She will work closely with The Senior Pastor, Ministers and HODs to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. As well as these responsibilities, that ICT Officer will define and implement ICT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • He/She Officer is expected to display good interpersonal skills as She / he will interact with colleagues from various departments and across all staff levels. She/he is required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.

Responsiblities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain ICT systems and databases, including networks, servers, and telecommunications. Troubleshoot and address issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure and maintain applications and user devices. Provide timely and quality service delivery, technical support, and advice to user requests to ensure proper user access to required/needed data and information.
  • Maintain inventory of ICT equipment, hardware, and software and ensure adequate supply and functionality, in collaboration with relevant staff, Provide input to budget for ICT related expenses.
  • Coordinate relationships with suppliers to facilitate delivery of ICT-related services that meet The Ministry’s requirements and needs.
  • Support capacity building initiatives, remotely or on-site, to ensure efficient and consistent adoption and use of ICT applications.
  • Prepare statistical reports on ICT-related data and metrics. As needed, implement measures to ensure required standards are met.
  • Schedule computer related services, maintenance, and license renewals.
  • Ensure installation and maintenance of protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls)
  • Plan network upgrades, expansions and replacements whenever required.
  • Provide ICT support and trainings to ICT staff and volunteers.
  • Provide support in the procurement processes of ICT equipment.
  • Implement and update a data disaster recovery plan (back up)
  • Provide ICT support and trainings to ICT staff and vocational learners.
  • Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented, and results-oriented.
  • Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
  • Perform any other duty assigned by a line manager appointed by the Senior Pastor.

Requirements
What you need to thrive in this job:

Furthermore He/She should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Networking, Programming, and Information Systems) is required. Significant work experience in a directly related field combined with appropriate training/certificates may substitute for degree.
  • Desired certifications include Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate or equivalent, Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent, Microsoft SharePoint Foundations or equivalent and ITIL Foundation Certified.
  • Minimum of three-year work experience in a position with similar responsibilities.
  • Experience in introduction, design, implementation, and adoption of relevant technology and data management tools.
  • Demonstrated capacity in management of network/server software and hardware devices and platforms.
  • Grasp of complex network, security, mobile, desktop, server, telephony, backup, applications and database technologies.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines in changing situations
  • Good relationship management skills. Ability to relate to people at all levels internally and externally with a strong client-service focus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical ideas and concerns in a non-technical manner.
  • Strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills, with capacity to see the big picture, make sound decisions, and offer non-standard solutions.
  • Able to maintain confidential information.
