ALC Peace, Security & Development Fellowships for 2023/2024

The African Leadership Centre (ALC) is pleased to announce a call for applications for Peace, Security & Development Fellowships for the academic year 2023/2024.

Our Fellowship Programmes

African Leadership Centre (ALC) Fellowships

  1. Fellowships for African Women in Leadership and Peacebuilding (degree awarding): This fellowship is available to young African women, particularly from conflict-affected contexts, interested in pursuing research, policy and practice careers in the field/s of peace, security and development and with an emphasis on leadership. It includes post-graduate study at King’s College London on the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding programme. To apply for this programme, applicants will need to create an account on the King’s website here and apply under the Peace and Security Fellowship Programme. In addition to applying to the above MSc programme, applicants need to make a separate application for the fellowship programme here.  Learn more about the Fellowships for African Women in Leadership and Peacebuilding (degree-awarding) programme including the eligibility criteria, phases of the programme, terms and application process here. This link will lead you to a registration portal where you need to first register an account and login to the ALC application system before you see all the information you need about the programme.
  2. Fellowships for African Women in Peace, Security and Development (non-degree awarding): This award is available to young African Women in the early stages of their careers seeking to deepen their knowledge and experience in the fields of Leadership, Peace, Security and Development. It is a residential program based at the ALC in Nairobi, Kenya. Learn more about the Fellowships for African Women (non-degree awarding) programme including the eligibility criteria, phases of the programme, terms and how to apply here. Applicants to this non-degree fellowship programme may also be considered for the Early Career Peace, Security and Development Fellowship. Please note that to apply for this non-degree programme you must use the above hyperlink, which will lead you to a registration portal. Once the system leads you the registration portal, you need to create an account and login to the ALC application system to learn more about the programme and to make an application.

All supporting documents and applications should be submitted via the online portal. Please note that no email applications will be accepted. If you are experiencing problems with the online application portal, please contact us at admissions@africanleadershipcentre.org. We encourage all applicants to submit their applications early to avoid delays and failure to submit because of technical challenges.
