We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Instrumentation / ICSS Engineer – M/F

Missions

  • To supervise the execution of Engineering, Procurement, Integration and commissioning for activities related to all ICSS & Instrumentation matters.

Activities

  • To be the technical authority to all ICSS & Instrument related subjects.
  • To supervise the CONTRACTOR in mark-up of existing documentation to generate the as-built document.
  • To ensure that CONTRACTOR procures the right workstations, cabinets, controllers, I/O cards, FTA & bulk items.
  • Ensure PCS, ESD/PSS, FGS configuration and programming by CONTRACTOR.
  • Ensure that CONTRATOR updates existing ESD & FGS matrix panels modification.
  • Witness the following tests (DVT, FAT, iFAT & SAT).
  • Ensure that interfaces with telecoms and other disciplines are maintained.
  • Supervise site work to include installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning assistance.
  • To follow-up all activities related to Instrumentation to ensure compliance with Company specifications and with the requirements of the project and contract documentation.
  • To manage the ICSS activities on Ubeta project and integration on Obite treatment plant
  • To manage technical evaluation of the bids and prepare technical recommendation with Engineering Manager.
  • To track and follow up CONTRACTOR’s activities in his/her discipline and ensure compliance with Project Specifications Codes and Standards.
  • Ensures interdisciplinary checks are performed, especially at sensitive interfaces such as between piping and instruments, anticipating problems and offering solutions.
  • To ensure that CONTRACTOR resources and organization are adequate and competent for achieving the discipline Engineering and procurement works.
  • To provide detailed assistance to COMPANY Engineering Manager on derogations, exemption or modification requests.
  • To undertake technical evaluation of Change Order Requests for the parts related to the discipline.
  • To participate in all audit activities (HSE, PTRs, HAZOPS…).
  • To ensure adequate workload sharing with discipline engineering, and to ensure that discipline Engineering benefits from his assignment on Project. Also, to be available to provide discipline added value point of view to other Project activities than for engineering (e.g. QA/QC activities, precom/com, start-up, O&Ms…)
  • To participate and propose solution in interfaces resolution between Contractors for all Instrumentation matters.
  • To ensure that typical are prepared and tested as required.
  • Ensure that process and safety systems are integrated to meet cyber security & COMPANY General specification.
  • To supervise the development of the functional analysis.
  • To monitor the integration of the ICSS system on site and ensure anticipation to mitigate of unplanned SD.
  • Ensure that the ICSS of UBETA well pad in integrated successfully at Obite Treatment plant.
  • Ensure that the design by ICSS contractor performs the required function and meets COMPANY requirement.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with ICSS contractor

HSE Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives.
  • Make safety suggestions, report any anomalies, unsafe acts or conditions observed.

Required Qualifications and Background

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (Instrumentation Engineering) equivalent or more.
  • Professional Experience (number of years): 15
  • Experience within project : (number of years): 10

Other Observations on the Specificities of the Job and Its Environment:

  • Duration is expected from beginning of Detailed Engineering in CONTRACTOR’s office up to its completion and follow-up of Site works.
  • To organize weekly co-ordination meetings with engineering CONTRACTORS as appropriate.
  • To ensure engineering CONTRACTOR provides proper reporting of the progress of his activities.
