Job Description

  • We are seeking a customer-oriented and organized Front Desk Officer to join our team and provide exceptional service to guests at our short-let apartment establishment.
  • As a Front Desk Officer, you will be the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring their needs are met and assisting them throughout their stay. Your friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and ability to handle various tasks simultaneously will contribute to creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, check them in efficiently, and provide all necessary information about their stay, including apartment features, amenities, and policies. Ensure a smooth and hassle-free check-in process.
  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally. Provide recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, transportation, and other services. Assist guests with arranging transportation, booking reservations, and organizing activities as needed.
  • Handle guest reservations, including new bookings, modifications, and cancellations, accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain an organized system for managing reservations and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Communication and Coordination: Effectively communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly. Coordinate with other team members to maintain an efficient and seamless operation.
  • Address guest complaints or issues with patience and professionalism. Take immediate action to resolve problems to the guest’s satisfaction or escalate to the appropriate personnel for further assistance.
  • Monitor and maintain the security of the front desk area and the overall property. Follow established safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing guest correspondence. Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an OND with 2-4 years experience.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of reservation management systems and office software.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on guest bookings.

Salary
N50,000 / Month.
