We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Information Literacy Librarian

Location: Adamawa

Description

  • The Information literacy librarian shall be charged with the responsibility of assisting with information literacy classes while providing needed and up-to-date information to students and faculty alike, as well as other members of the university community.
  • The position shall ensure that patrons receives adequate skill in the use of the resources of the digital services department and e-learning center. The position shall report directly to the Information Literacy Manager.

Requirements for the Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science.
  • 1 – 3 years’ professional experience in a digitalized learning resource center or library facility required.
  • Ability to map information to valid reference sources.
  • Ability to instruct and proven knowledge of varied formats of information sources.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Must be flexible enough to adapt to changing circumstances at the workplace.
  • Must demonstrate a good knowledge of information communication technology in reaching out to faculty and students.
  • Must be a team player.
