1.) Admin Officer

Job Description

  • The Ideal Candidate will Provide high quality administrative support to staff and ensure effective use and availability of company’s facilities, working tools and equipment for business operational performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Implements approved administrative strategies, policies and procedures. Monitors to ensure adoption of policies and compliance among staff.
  • Attending to all Southern retail station requests
  • Liaises with the procurement Manager to ensure prompt and adequate provision of office supplies.
  • Executes and oversees the provision of general support services, including dispatch, cleaning, catering and water supply services and upkeep of office premise.
  • Records and processes invoices, receipts and payments as required and instructed.
  • Retail Inventory and Store management by issuing out approved items to retail outlets including uniforms etc.
  • Liaises with Unit Heads and conducts checks to ensure the safe keeping and efficient utilization of all office facilities and equipment.
  • Liaises with Finance and Accounts for the prompt payment of utility bills, maintenance bills etc.
  • Liaises with the relevant vendor for printing of staff ID cards, complimentary cards and other stationeries.
  • Prepares periodic reports with respect to the activities in the Administrative unit for review and decision making.
  • Handles complaints on disruptions and faults on utilities and follows up promptly for reconnection / repairs.
  • Reconciliation and reporting of Retail store balances.
  • Maintains effective working relationship with vendors and suppliers to ensure excellent service delivery and minimal disruption to business operation.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records of expenses on company’s office assets and ensures that the relevant updates are made across all departments including Retail outlets.
  • Maintains records of all expenditures.
  • Appraises the company’s assets periodically to ensure that relevant assets are adequately insured, negotiates terms, and ensures that premiums are promptly settled

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualification of a B.Sc in Social Sciences
  • Work experience in the downstream Oil & Gas sector is a plus
  • Having a good understanding of the Downstream sector value Chain for all products is an added advantage.

2.) Head, Aviation Business

  • The ideal candidate would be responsible for driving the aviation business by growing the customer base, maintaining relationship, coordinate the delivery of product from depo to plane and ensure timely payments by customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategies to capture new businesses.
  • Collate list of prospective customers and sign them on
  • Continuous deployment of strategic plans to maximize full business potentials of existing Relationships
  • Inventory Management of customers and efficient stock planning to ensure we always have adequate stock cover for all our customers
  • Daily costing of Aviation fuel to advice market direction of Ex- depot prices
  • Continuous development of retention strategies towards sustaining and increasing Matrix Market share

Requirements

3.) Corporate Strategy and Planning Advisor

  • We are looking to engage a Strategy and Planning Advisor to coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic and business plans for Matrix Energy.
  • The successful candidate will lead the strategy, planning, and corporate performance monitoring function of the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the design and development of mid-long corporate and business strategy for Matrix Energy Limited
  • Serves as a bridge between executive management and business units and functional heads in facilitating the breakdown and implementation of Matrix aspirations into executable action items.
  • Facilitates and documents during scheduled corporate performance review meetings (Annual Corporate goal setting/review, MPR’s)
  • Develop strategies and create models that will be used to assess the business climates, market trends and potential impact of any legal, fiscal or regulatory change.
  • Provide advisory and insight on new business/growth opportunities, and present reports to the executive management.
  • Coordinate annual corporate retreats and brainstorming sessions on specific company initiatives.
  • Facilitate collaborative development of cross-business units’ strategies, initiatives, and contingency plans.
  • Define and communicate conditions, guidelines and steers for all strategy and planning exercises and ensure compliance.
  • Assist Management in the formulation of strategies, business, and activity plans to maximize profitability and achieve corporate objectives.
  • Cascade agreed business plans and scorecards from executives to business units and functions.
  • Track and report the alignment of departmental objectives and define acceptable performance measures.
  • Develop and monitor performance monitoring dashboards to ensure that deviations and slippages are reported with a view to correcting and providing required support.
  • Develop, nurture, and optimize intelligence gathering by continuously performing organization assessment, using tools and frameworks.
  • Develop strategies to maintain intelligence networks and relationships within industry and government circles, and other identified channels.

Requirements
Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or closely related specialty, with graduate degree (MBA) highly desirable.
  • 6 – 10 years of relevant work experience in corporate development and strategic planning, business development, budgeting, performance reporting, and other related functions in oil and gas or consulting experience in the energy practice will be an advantage
  • The candidate must have strong presentation skills and will often interface with Executive Management and Board level, senior management team and external parties such as regulators etc. hence the successful candidate must within a short period be able to build the trust and respect of the Executive management, senior management, and peers.
  • The candidate should be knowledgeable of the latest developments, drivers, and paths for the energy industry.
  • Must be able to independently initiate research to formulate, coherently articulate, and present ideas and initiatives assessing issues or opportunities impacting the Company’s strategy or performance.
  • Experience in hands-on accounting and financial forecasting.

4.) Retail Station Supervisor

  • The person in this position is responsible for coordinating and continuously improve sales activities at the station, monitor product discharge, coordinate stock planning and management to ensure regular product availability.
  • In addition, maintaining relationships with statutory agencies, security agents and coordinating staff’s activities at the outlet are major responsibilities of the employee in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proper coordination of all activities at the station.
