Job Title: Auto Electrician

Location: Nigeria

Mission

  • Ensure the proper functioning of the electrical parts of machinery or equipment present in the job site, plants and maintenance bases, in compliance with superior instructions and following the appropriate manuals supplied by the manufacturers ensuring the respect of Quality and HSE procedures and practices

Tasks

  • Perform ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the equipment and devices and provide for preventive routine and non routine maintenance for all the equipment present in the areas and/or job sites assigned, in accordance with superior instructions received
  • Identify electrical malfunction and proceeding promptly with the appropriate repairs
  • Ensure proper use and management of all electrical repairs, tools and testing equipment
  • Interpreting the manuals and diagrams of electrical installations
  • Be well-informed about all relevant work and safety procedures issued by Saipem and by the Operator, applying them and promoting their implementation
  • Use compulsory protective equipment and be safety minded during day-to-day work
  • Attend safety meetings and conduct special safety meetings with electric crew whenever necessary
  • Carry out his duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan when needed
  • Promptly report any safety hazard, accident, near-miss accident and non-conformance through proper channels
  • Organize tools and materials needed to perform the work
  • Ensure good housekeeping in his/her working area
  • Propose spare parts to be purchased.

Job Title: Mechanic, Heavy Duty

Location: Nigeria

Mission

  • Ensure the correct maintenance operation of the “heavy” onshore equipment, present in the job sites, plants and maintenance bases, performing the instructions received from the Mechanic section leader and /or Workshop Foreman, ensuring the respect of HSE and Quality procedures and practices, following the appropriate manuals supplied by the manufacturers

Tasks

  • Disassemble, reassemble and overhaul of all the heavy equipment (earthmoving machineries,cranes, pipe layers, pay welder exc.) type hydraulic and mechanical, present in the job sites, plants and maintenance bases useful for the construction of pipelines or onshore plants
  • Inspect the equipment in order to determine the proper maintenance procedures, by visual observation or with other devices
  • Interpret the manuals and technical drawings (hydraulic, pneumatic and electric if necessary)
  • Produce handmade replacement parts using the tools or equipment available in the workshop
  • Test the equipment to observe the correct operation, diagnose problems detected, and in case of malfunction and perform repairs
  • Prepare lists of the materials and tools to buy when necessary
  • Promptly report any safety hazards or accidents in the workplace
  • Ensure good cleanliness and order in the place of work
  • Partecipate to the daily Tool box and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) when required
  • Ensure the storage of the tools in the apposite location once used
  • Report the near misses and incidents to his responsible on duty
  • Wear always PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Attend all the emergency drills
