We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.)  Head of Finance

 

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Head of Finance will be responsible for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all Nigeria’s financial activities.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop and control Nigeria’s annual budget to ensure all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations are complied with;
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting for Nigeria;
  • Coordinate and supervise annual third-party valuation of Rendeavour assets in Nigeria;
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models of all Rendeavour Nigeria projects;
  • Safeguard shareholder assets through appropriate internal controls and manage any financial risks;
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate all findings and recommendations
  • Prepare reports to the Group CFO and Managing Director, Nigeria to be fed into country and Group reports;
  • Develop and implement an efficient tax strategy to maximize profits within the agreed tax laws of Nigeria; ensure tax efficiency and compliance with all laws and tax aspects including but not limited to transfer pricing, withholding taxes, tax planning;
  • Overall control of corporate banking relationships and maintain an integrated platform of all bank accounts to ensure seamless operations at all times;
  • Flag all potential risks raised by auditors to the Group CFO, Managing Director, Alaro and Chief Operating Officer, Nigeria and explore all mitigation;
  • Prepare financial statements and oversee all audit processes through to completion;
  • Oversee the preparation of the company’s accounts to ensure these are presented accurately and as required;
  • Responsibility for managing all investor relations through seeking investors and managing key relationships.
  • Control of all payment processes in line with the Corporate Governance Handbook and budgets;
  • Maintain and develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control of the business;
  • Provide results-focused leadership, direction and management for the Nigeria finance team;
  • Ensure statutory accounting is done properly and audited financial statement are submitted to the relevant authorities on time;
  • Monitor all procurement and land sale activities to ensure 100% compliance with CGHB;
  • Provide strategic recommendations on all financial matters and correspondence and advise on long-term business and financial planning;
  • Establish and develop relations with other members of the senior management team; and
  • All other related duties and responsibilities as reasonably required and as assigned.

Requirements
Skills and experience:

  • Chartered Accountant with 10 – 15 years hands-on experience
  • CFA qualification will be an added advantage
  • Big 4 accounting training/experience preferential
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (complex formulae, sensitivity analysis etc.)
  • Overall responsibility for management of a finance department
  • Excellent communication skills required for international Group and remote correspondence with finance team of 5+
  • Cash flow forecast and analysis, budgeting
  • Real Estate Investment experience preferential
  • Internationally educated
  • Ability to perform a complex Group consolidation
  • Good understanding of IFRS
  • KPI analysis and commentary of performance against budget, for quarterly board packs
  • Very strong analytical skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to present information clearly in a report or presentation to senior management;

2.) Power and Infrastructure Technician

Job Location: Victoria Island. Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Brief

  • The Power and Infrastructure Technician (Mechanical) will ensure the optimum operations of the power plant to prevent downtime, carry out all mechanical related preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment to increase reliability and effectively monitor the operations of the generators and record all parameters as appropriate to ensure availability of the generators.

Responsibilities

  • Vast knowledge of diesel, gasoline, natural gas, internal combustion engines.
  • Carry out operation & maintenance procedures in accordance with established company policies.
  • Hands-on experience in carrying out OEM recommended preventive and corrective maintenance on generators
  • Hands-on experience in carrying out up to E30 and E40 level maintenance on MWM gas generators or other gas generator brands
  • Hands-on experience in handling compressed natural gas downloading stations and offloading and monitoring of CNG trucks on arrival at power plants
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance, engine oil and filter changes and inspections on all generator to ensure proper running of the generators
  • Maintains proper lubrication, greasing and cooling of the generating units, transformers, pumps, motor generator sets and other rotating machinery.
  • In-depth understanding of diesel, gasoline, natural gas, internal combustion engines and generator technology.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel and natural gas generators
  • Maintains inventory of spare parts and initiates procurement of replacement supplies and equipment as necessary; makes cost and material estimates
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively, including the preparation of reports and logs.
  • Ability to listen and understand directions, information and ideas presented verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborate with other teams and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
  • Comply with Quality Management System/Occupational Health and Safety requirements including objectives and applicable regulations relating to assigned jobs
  • Ability to appropriately use multimeters, pressure testers, etc., to troubleshoot and check electrical components.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs alternating current electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches, generator controls and engine related electrical failures.
  • Collects data for preventive maintenance system; maintains activity logs and complete work orders and reports as needed.
  • Daily Inspect generators to identify faults, maintain, service, replace parts and repair generators as directed in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations and schedule
  • Carry out all work in accordance with the company’s standards, policies and procedures while adhering to strict HSE policies and safety precautions required for any task.
  • Carrying out all other functions as designated in line with achieving the departmental objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management
  • Experienced knowledge of 12-24 VDC electrical systems and procedures, methods and techniques to design, install, repair and maintain generators, by-pass pumps, starters, pumps, valves, motors and gauges
  • Analyzes problems to determine type of repair necessary and informs proper personnel. Good tools handling skills and ability to select and use the appropriate tools for designated tasks.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and safety regulations related to equipment operation, hazardous materials, traffic patterns and conditions, and other work related precautions.

Requirements
Hard Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related courses
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations and maintenance of electrical power plant (gas and diesel)
  • Ability to select proper tools for designated job
  • Must be strongly conversant with safety procedures while working on live equipment and high tension and low-tension lines

3.) LandScaping Manager

Job Location: Epe, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Plan and execute landscaping in priority areas, including but not limited to:
    • Entrance perimeter setback;
    • bHelipad area;
    • Activation Road medians and plot setback;
    • Main Boulevard medians and plot setback;
    • Universal access road;
    • Site Office and Universal show home;
    • Greenways 1 & 2 (inclusive of the utilities corridor); and
    • Nursery Area.
  • Consistently maintain and enhance an area’s physical appearance, aesthetics and provide environmental benefits by designing and implementing landscaping of the precincts and public spaces within Alaro City.
  • Maintenance of the landscaped areas within Alaro City.
  • Conduct preliminary studies and analyse environmental reports on land conditions such as contours, ecology, drainage, and energy usage.
  • Confer with clients, engineers, and building architects to understand the project’s landscaping requirements.
  • Assist with the environmental impact assessment and ensure that it is adhered to.
  • Restoration of common green spaces disturbed by construction.
  • Ensure post planting clean-up of the roads, paths, drain covers and drainage.
  • Oversee the hiring and management of staff, casual workers and specialist consultants.
  • Inspect landscaping work to ensure that it adheres to original plans, the agreed time plan, and costs.
  • Prepare and submit reports and updates to your Line Manager, including but not limited to landscaping progress and maintenance reports, development plans, and all other reports as requested.
  • Work with and assist the Construction & Delivery team, the City management team and Utilities team in delivering a landscaping design concept
  • Prepare graphic representations of proposed plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software.
  • Compile a budget for the landscaping works and landscaping maintenance requirements, including tools and equipment to be purchased and rented.
  • Develop, implement and periodically update the landscaping guidelines for the Alaro City
  • Development Control Committee.
  • Plan and deliver effective management of plant nurseries.

Requirements
Hard skills and experience:

  • Higher Diploma / Undergraduate Degree in Landscaping, Horticulture or related discipline from a reputable institution
  • 6 – 8 years of proven working experience;
  • Must have hands on of at least 5 years of experience in landscaping, and preventive maintenance of large green spaces;
  • Effective development/project management skills;
  • Excellent budgeting skills;
  • Excellent reporting skills.
