Job Title: Production Operator (Water Treatment)

Location: Nigeria

About the Role

  • The Water Technician reports to the Utilities/Facilities Engineer and is responsible for monitoring water treatment plant activities and ensuring that water meant for production of Coca-Cola products is adequately treated, free of food hazards, and meets all standard requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor The Stock Of Raw Water And Update Management  – Residual chlorine from borehole 1-3ppm
  • Ensure that treated water is available always for production purposes.
  • Ensure good housekeeping status of all the equipment and environment associated with the water treatment plant.
  • Ensure that backwashing of the sand and carbon filters is carried out.
  • Ensure that all water standards are met by carrying out all tests and analysis at the required frequency.
  • Ensure that appropriate solutions are rendered to problems arising in the cause of operation.
  • Ensure that all water treatment test reagents are available and fit for use
  • Ensure that the appropriate corrective actions are taken in cases where out-of-specification results are obtained.

Educational Qualification / Knowledge / Experience

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree or its equivalent
  • Must have 3 years experience
  • Physical Fitness
  • Technical Dexterity

Job Title: Production Operator (Syrup Room)

Location: Nigeria

About the Role

  • The Syrup Mixer reports to the Syrup Room team leader and is responsible for coordinating simple syrup mixing and ensuring that the final syrup meant for production is free of contaminants and meets the Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the manufacture of final syrup in strict compliance with standards: monitoring of control points, PRPs, and oPRPs in the syrup manufacture process to prevent food safety-related hazards.
  • Carry out an incoming inspection on sugar, beverage base and concentrate and ensure any ingredient that does not meet TCCC specifications is rejected.
  • Ensure that all syrup tests:  brix, taste, appearance, floc potential and volume are correctly performed and at the right frequency as stated in the sop/work aid/work instruction
  • Monitor the stock of final syrup and update management
  • Ensure that all syrup tanks are sanitized before and after mixing.
  • Monitor all the sugar dumpers while carrying out their duties.

Educational Qualification and Knowledge

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc or its equivalent in any Science discipline
  • Must have 2 years’ experience in related fields
  • Physical Fitness
  • Technical Dexterity

Job Title: Production Operator

About the Job

  • The Technical Operator reports to the Shift Team Leader and is responsible for ensuring shift/line production plan execution by optimizing performance.
  • He/She is also responsible for ensuring Operational Health and Safety, Production Output and Product Quality while minimizing the impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and Maintain Manufacturing Equipment and Utilities.
  • Deploy Engineering Technical Skills to Ensure Equipment Availability at all times and Operate at OEM’s Rated capacity.
  • Deliver output associated with a production line for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Executes machine start-up, continuous operation, shut down, and changeover following the standard operating procedure in a safe way to avoid risks of damage or waste.
  • Controls relevant standard process parameters by means of reference tables.
  • Reads and interprets values on screens, monitors, and other relevant measuring instruments/devices.
  • Follows standard cleaning and sanitizing procedures – Operating with the usage and methodologies of the proper tool.
  • Makes certain that shift reports for own area of responsibility are prepared on time and according to agreed requirements.

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in high-speed production equipment.

Job Title: Plant Quality & Food Safety Technician

Location: Nigeria

About the Role

  • The Plant Quality & Food Safety Technician role comprises supporting Brand protection and food safety through implementation and assurance of compliance to all company specified standards.
  • To support plant packaging and raw material management program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all beverage tests:  brix, carbonation, taste, appearance, date code, crown crimp, torque, residual ozone, m- alkalinity, total chlorine, residual chlorine, turbidity, hardness, total dissolved solids, drop test, fill height, and net content are correctly performed and at the right frequency as stated in the sop/work aid/work instruction and meet TCCC requirements.
  • Ensure that all bottling equipment is inspected before and during bottling operations and management is informed of any malfunction in light on the negative impact on product quality.
  • Ensure that the appropriate corrective actions are taken in cases where out-of-specification results are obtained.
  • To monitor the performance and ensure the operational validation of ASEBI at required frequencies and corrective action taken if any abnormalities.
  • Monitoring of all identified CCPS and OPRPS in the work area and alerting immediately supervisor when critical limits are exceeded.
  • Ensure compliance to good manufacturing practices, food safety practices, good environmental, occupational health, and safety practices in all line activities, achieve water use ratio, solid waste ratio, energy use ratio, and solid waste recycled targets, zero lost time work-related injuries.
  • Ensure that all laboratory test reagents are available, properly labeled, and fit for use.

Educational Qualification and Knowledge

  • Candidates should possess an HND or B.Sc in Applied or any related Sciences.
  • Technical dexterity
  • At least 2 years’ experience within a food/ drinks production environment.
  • Computer literacy

Job Title: Microbiology Technician

  • Ensure collection, processing, and microbiological analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
  • Prepare the laboratory reagents, culture media, and necessary microbiological samples and monitor stock levels of microbiology materials.
  • To monitor the performance and ensure the operational validation of ASEBI at required frequencies and corrective action taken if any abnormalities.
  • Prompt submission of microbiology trend analysis report per line per equipment.
  • To ensure good housekeeping status of all the equipment and environment associated with the lab, filling, and bottling halls.

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc in Microbiology or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience

Job Title: Line Technician

Location: Nigeria

About the Role

  • Ensure stipulated machines/equipment are well maintained and available for production operation as per the Maintenance schedule in line with the production schedule and set targets for quality equipment and maintenance that guarantees food safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventive & repair maintenance and other recommended maintenance programs in line with the checklists and schedules and as required to keep the equipment in good working condition that will ensure food safety.
  • Monitor equipment as per checklist on all stipulated machines, document findings & recommend actions to be taken through the maintenance report form.
  • Lubricate the machinery as specified in the lubrication chart and update lubrication documentation.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical position most appropriate with a shop floor role.
  • Experience in the execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Reliable exhibition of Engineering skills.
