1.) Logistics Officer

Job Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop logistics along with support plans, budget requirements and deployment timelines for new operations.
  • Develop logistical plans for current operations and logistics contingency plans.
  • Design and develop standard operating methods to manage logistics operations efficiently.
  • Coordinate logistics activities related to procurement, projects, etc.
  • Develop and execute logistics support policy, processes and methodologies to general benefit of all units.
  • Ensure accountable, timely and cost-effective practices
  • Ensure all supervised staff members are trained as well as cross-trained adequately.
  • Identify added logistic training requirements to attain high working standards.
  • Coordinate and present logistics support to ongoing operations.
  • Develop reports on material and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
  • Guide and oversee performance of new and junior logistics personnel

2.) Business Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Brief Description

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join the Eko Carbon Exchange team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth and success of the exchange’s strategic initiatives in carbon mitigation and adaptation.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the Eko Carbon Exchange’s initiatives, including the Eko-Climathon and partnership programmes, in the field of carbon mitigation and adaptation.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with industry participants such as project developers, green tech start-ups, emissions offsetters, brokers, and international partners to drive engagement and collaboration.
  • Act as a liaison with external stakeholders, including new business contacts and the general public, providing information and guidance on projects eligible under voluntary carbon programmes.
  • Oversee the management and analysis of contacts and opportunities on the assigned platform of Eko Carbon and Commodity Exchange.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, auditors, and stakeholders to gather information, address queries, and facilitate smooth certification and verification processes.
  • Draft comprehensive proposals outlining “Net-Zero” strategies for prospective clients, helping them navigate the path towards carbon neutrality and sustainability.
  • Develop and execute advocacy strategies to improve brand awareness, promote the Eko Carbon Exchange’s offerings, and enhance overall profit margins.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, developments, and changes in carbon offsetting and emissions reduction methodologies. Apply this knowledge to enhance project strategies and compliance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Gold Standard, Verra standards and others, including their requirements, guidelines, and processes for project certification and verification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related field (Advanced degrees are preferred).
  • Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related role within the sustainability or carbon market sector
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mind-set with the ability to identify market trends, assess opportunities, and develop compelling proposals.
  • Strong understanding of carbon mitigation and adaptation strategies, as well as voluntary carbon programmes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with climate policy, sustainable business practises, and the international carbon market landscape.
  • Computing and research skills; Proficient in search Microsoft office and relevant software.

3.) Finance Executive

Job Location: Gbagada, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of finance executive:

  • Creating and implementing financial policies of the organization.
  • Planning financial budgets to increase operational efficiency of the organisation.
  • Preparing balance sheet, invoices, etc.
  • Monitoring transactions, identifying irregularities in invoices, monitor bank deposits and payments, etc.
  • Identifying areas of cost-reduction to maximize profit.
  • Assisting the managerial team in budgeting, taxes, and investments.
  • Monitor cash-flow of the organisation by monitoring income, expenditure, and investments.
  • Maintain receipts and records for all the business transactions.
  • Preparing financial reports and evaluating them to optimize resources.
  • Monitor the economic and financial changes.
  • Assist in financial audits.
  • Performing regular financial analysis; resolving issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or its equivalent.
  • 3 – 4 years of experience as a finance executive or in a similar role
  • Being ICAN Certified is an added advantage.
  • Must be between the ages of 25 and 28 years.
  • Sharp eye for identifying irregularities.
  • Excellent analytical abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial and taxation regulations, laws, and any changes thereof.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 monthly (Net)
