Job Title: Electrical Technician M/F

Location: Lagos (ERHA FPSO)
Contract type: Permanent contract
Contractual hours: Full time

Missions
Operations:

  •  Organizes and performs on-site maintenance operations, which are placed under his responsibility,
  • Ensures that the COMPANY’s HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during the performance of maintenance operations placed under his responsibility,
  • Ensures that all maintenance and repairs to plant and equipment are carried out safely and efficiently and in strict compliance with COMPANY operating procedures and any relevant statutory legislation to maintain all such equipment in sound and safe operating condition.
  • Monitors the functioning of systems placed under his responsibility,
  • Carries out, at the Supervisor’s request, any intervention within his field of competence.
  • Takes charge of the systems under his responsibility in case of breakdown until the correct operation status.

Requirements

  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.
  • Basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment and thorough knowledge of equipment used in oil and gas installations
  • Must know HL & LV power distribution and controls network, HV & LV motor drives and alternators, Inverters, HV cells, variable speed units, light networks, switch gears and Generators.

Candidate criteria:

  • Minimum level of experience required: 3 years or more

Required authorisations:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Electrical Maintenance field on offshore oil and gas installations
  • Basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment and thorough knowledge of equipment used in offshore oil and gas installations

Languages:

  • English (E-Native or bilingual proficiency)

Job Title: Instrument Technician M/F

Missions
QHSE:

  • Ensures HSE policy fulfillment during his activitie.
  • Establishes and maintains a strong safety culture in line with Company HSE Requirements and Rules.
  • Is responsible to ensures compliance with HSE Legislation, Company Standards and Procedures under his area of responsibility to ensure employees safety, legislative compliance, and responsible environment attitude
  • Ensures compliance with Operating Procedures & Guidelines with the asset to ensure Process Safety, Operational Safety and Plan Integrit.
  • Contributes to achieve and improve HSE targets
  • Performs the updating of technical documentation.
  • Gives his contribution in Hazard Analyses, incident investigations, Root Cause Failure Analyses, process incidents advising his hierarchy about HSE issues and proposing corrective solutions.

Main Activities

  • Monitor equipment conditions using all indications available in the control room, on site, and portable test equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment problems, report abnormal conditions to CSR, and prepare detailed work requests for plant defects.
  • Read, interpret, and implement technical information found in manufacturer’s and OEM technical manuals, electrical and mechanical P & IDs, and operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Make daily checks to ensure safety and cleanliness of the plant is maintained to a high standard and ensure Equipment Operators carry out scheduled operational checks.
  • Conduct shift change by fully briefing the incoming Unit Operator and ensure all Equipment Operators assigned to the plant under the control of the Unit Operator fully brief their reliefs.
  • Tests accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors, and other recording, indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment, such as pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, and ammeters, voltmeters, and wattmeter.

Responsibilities
Operations:

  • Involve in evalution of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities.
  • Remove defective instruments from system, decontaminate, disassemble, clean, and reassemble instruments, and replace defective parts, using hand tools.
  • Lubricate instruments and replace defective wiring and tubing.
  • Calibrate readings on instruments according to standards and adjusts phasing and aligns stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function.
  • Record calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand.Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.
  • Prepare, maintain, and administer procedures and reports related to the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the plant; maintain accurate logs of daily operation, check sheets, change charts and ink recorders.

Requirements

  • HND or Equivalent in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering
  • +6 years experience in a similar role

Candidate criteria:

  • Minimum level of experience required: 6 years or more

Required Authorisations:

  • Electrical Habilitation

  • Warns support teams of any recurring problems related to the availability or quality of spare parts and Suggests improvements and requests modifications.

Requirements
The following knowledge will be essential for success in this position:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Mechanical Maintenance for offshore oil and gas installations.
  • Higher National Diploma or Higher qualification in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
  • Knowledge of compressors fire water pumps, HP barrel pumps, process and utility valves and Diesel Generators.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
