Job Title: Chief Sales Officer

Job Summary

  • The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth across our industry sectors. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role will focus on building and leading a high-performing sales organization, aligning sales efforts with marketing initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve our sales objectives.

Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives and market opportunities.
  • Set and meet ambitious sales targets and develop sales plans to achieve sustainable revenue growth.

Sales Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a dynamic sales team, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to maximize their performance.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the sales team, monitoring their progress and providing ongoing feedback and support.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Sales Performance Management:

  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics to track performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement effective sales incentive programs to motivate and reward high-performing sales representatives.

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and optimize the sales process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in converting leads to customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align sales efforts with marketing and customer service initiatives.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Present sales performance updates to the executive team on a regular basis.

Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and threats in both sectors.
  • Use market insights to make data-driven decisions and refine sales strategies.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with 3 – 10 years work experience.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 monthly.
