Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the corporate affairs commission, in accordance with the Nigerian Law, FRAD work in both humanitarian and development sector to build the resilience of Vulnerable populations through our interventions in thematic areas of WASH, Nutrition, Protection, Education and early recovery and livelihood. Over the years, FRAD has reached more than 19,000 children, men, women and girls through its various interventions.

FRAD work with the Mission to build the Resilience of vulnerable populations using locally available solutions that ensure participation and bring meaningful development, leaving no one behind. Our Mission and Vision guides our programming to ensure no one is left behind.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT / Communication Assistant

Location: Borno

Job Summary

  • IT/Communication assistant is responsible for creating of visibility using various social media hand, managing any IT relate issues for staff, backing staff files and folders, and managing various external communications including crowdfunding and many others.

Duties and Responsibility
IT:

  • Build and maintain model-driven and canvas applications.
  • Apply Power platform skills in solving organizational problems.
  • Assist in collecting and identifying functional and technical requirements.
  • Troubleshoot bugs and recommend ways to fix them, including creating email addresses for staff and fixing email-related issues.
  • Be adept at leveraging new approaches to solutions for system design and functionality.
  • Address and remediate security vulnerability findings in Power Apps.
  • Work directly with clients to support various projects and solutions by promoting visibility.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot challenges as they arise.
  • Install and configure data gateways where needed and backup all staff information files and folders.
  • Develop Azure logic apps and functions and Power BI development.
  • Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify areas and processes where Microsoft 365, Office 365, and SharePoint can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.
  • Integrate various data collection tools with databases through Power Platform.
  • Provide first-level IT helpdesk support in assigned field offices.
  • Communicate any service disruptions, opportunities, and other relevant policies to users.
  • Keep the network and all computer systems safe, secure, and virus-free.
  • Report any alleged or suspected misuse of IT systems/equipment, security lapses, and major violations of organizational standards to the in-country IT representative.

Communication:

  • Manage and update the content of all projects on the official website and other social media accounts of FRAD.
  • Research, compile, and present basic information for use in the preparation and production of communications products/services for all projects of FRAD.
  • Strengthen relationships with media professionals by drafting and disseminating press materials such as media advisories and embargoed press briefing notes to our media distribution list. Organize events with FRAD senior management to brief media outlets on the latest developments.
  • Draft social media messages for Twitter and Facebook and compile materials for social media packages, including sample messages, hashtags, photos, videos, and digital cards to showcase flagship projects and campaigns.
  • Conduct site visits to various field locations to capture footage of FRAD activities and testimonies of beneficiaries, as well as edit videos from this footage using Adobe Premiere or Final Cut software.
  • Develop visibility materials such as info sheets, quarterly newsletters, situation reports, and other materials to highlight projects and thematic areas of the Mission.
  • Provide recommendations and training to staff for the appropriate medium of communication for project activities.
  • Assist the Program Manager in the preparation of annual/interim reports for project donors.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with government counterparts, NGOs, and other stakeholders in close coordination with the supervisor.
  • Draft human-interest stories about project achievements for global dissemination via Medium, Shorthand, and FRAD Blog.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Level of Education – Degree in IT and related IT certifications.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skill Level – Excellent.
  • Language Requirements – English – Excellent.
  • Level of IT Expertise Required – Excellent.
  • Developing Apps using Power Platform.
  • Supporting the IT team.
  • Applying Power Apps, including an in-depth understanding of customization, configuration, integration, and extensibility, as well as boundaries and constraints.
  • Assisting in collecting and identifying functional requirements.
  • Raising the causes of bugs or potential issues of the product are skills that we hope you have, and we will also help you develop.
  • Being adept at leveraging new approaches to solutions for system design and functionality.
  • Addressing and remediating security vulnerability findings in PowerApps.
  • Work directly with clients to support various projects and solutions.
  • Responsible for developing PowerApps model and canvas-driven apps.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.
  • Installation and configuration of data gateways.
  • Development of Azure logic apps and functions and Power BI development.
  • Starting date: ASAP.
  • Desired Number of Years Prior Experience in a Similar Role – 2.
  • Experience in Server and Active Directory Management and Power platform development.
  • Experience in a relatively insecure field-based environment.
  • One year of experience with Office 365 development utilizing PowerApps, Flow, Power BI, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
