Job Title: Commissioning Machinery Supervisor (Rotating)

Job Summary / Role Description
- He executes the activities pertaining to the pre-commissioning and commissioning of the Plant.
- He operates in compliance with the quality requirements, health / environmental / safety
- regulations and following the stated procedures.
- He reports to the Commissioning Machinery Superintendent (CMT).
- He is assigned to the Project by Commissioning Head of Department.
Duties and responsibilities
His main responsibilities are:
- To develop the detailed pre-commissioning procedures for Machinery & Packages, procedures for the functional tests of the machineries according to the instructions of Commissioning Machinery Superintendent.
- To field check the DAC and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list, following the CME instructions.
- Expediting closing of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (COT) priorities; Monitor and ensure the activities are carried out in accordance with the procedures and requirements.
- Ensure all safety rules are in force and are followed in field.
- Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
- To organize and manage the operations in field of the assigned team from the Sub Contractor by controlling their job and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures in case of emergency.
- Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
- Supervise the works of vendors’ specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
- To keep records of all activities performed in the log book
- To produce the certificates, duly signed by the involved parties, and handover to certification engineer (QA/QC).
- Responsible for ongoing maintenance (planned and corrective maintenance on Plant Units already in Operation) in accordance with Commissioning Superintendent (COT) and Commissioning Machinery Superintendent (CMT) priorities
- Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit
- To Work according to the project Permit To Work Procedure.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- University Degree or equivalent Study background.
Experience:
- Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as Commissioning Machinery Supervisor.
- Experience in Rotating equipment for Utilises & Offsites
- Plants for the gas treatment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, management skills
- Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
