The 32-room Hotel offers tastefully furnished deluxe executive and super executive rooms as well as one- and two-bedroom luxury suites.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Ojodu – Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
Food Preparation:

  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the chef or kitchen supervisor to ensure consistent quality.

Dish washing and Cleaning:

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, countertops, and work areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Sweep and mop floors regularly to keep the kitchen area tidy.

Stock Management:

  • Receive and unpack deliveries of food supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Properly store food items in designated areas, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.

Kitchen Organization:

  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
  • Label and date food items appropriately to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records, including tracking stock usage and expiration dates.

Waste Management:

  • Properly dispose of kitchen waste, including food scraps and packaging materials, following waste management guidelines.
  • Separate recyclable materials and assist in recycling efforts.

Safety and Hygiene:

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
  • Follow established sanitation practices and guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the kitchen supervisor immediately.

Support Kitchen Staff:

  • Assist chefs and cooks during meal preparation, as directed.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess relevant qualifications and work experience.
