Job Title: Livelihood Program Assistant

Locations: Adamawa, Delta and Yobe
Employment Type: Volunteer
Start Date: Immediately

Position Overview

  • As a Livelihood Program Assistant at Danuwa Empowerment Foundation, you will play a key role in supporting our livelihood programs, aimed at empowering individuals and communities to achieve sustainable economic independence.
  • Your responsibilities will involve assisting in the planning, implementation, and coordination of livelihood initiatives to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable groups and foster self-reliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of Livelihood programs aligned with the organization’s mission and target beneficiaries.
  • Support the assessment of livelihood needs and opportunities within the community.
  • Assist in planning and organizing livelihood training sessions, workshops, and income-generating activities.
  • Collaborate with community partners, trainers, and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and impact.
  • Help in data collection, monitoring, and evaluation to assess program outcomes and measure success.
  • Contribute to the preparation of educational materials and resources related to livelihood development.
  • Provide administrative support to the Livelihood team, including recordkeeping and logistics coordination.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions relevant to livelihood programs.
  • Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines in all livelihood-related activities.
  • Assist in other duties and tasks as assigned by the Livelihood Program Manager or supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in livelihood program coordination or community development is desirable.
  • Passion for livelihood development and a commitment to empowering individuals for sustainable economic growth.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse communities.
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of livelihood development best practices and approaches is a plus.
