We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Storekeeper

Job Description
Spare Part Management:

  • Receive incoming spare parts, inspect them for quality, and verify that they match the specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of spare parts, following established inventory management procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of spare part inventory, including part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and locations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify critical spare parts and establish appropriate reorder levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to procure spare parts, ensuring timely deliveries and competitive pricing.
  • Reconciliation of inventory bin cards on regular basis.
  • Ensure Agreement of physical stock and bin card to poloxy

Warehouse Operations:

  • Ensure the spare parts warehouse is well-organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Implement efficient storage and labeling systems to facilitate easy identification and retrieval of spare parts.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and coordinate the movement of spare parts for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in tracking and managing warranty claims for defective spare parts.
  • Supervise all goods arrived as per the agreed LPO, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received.
  • Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store’s area of operation.
  • Issuance of the right quantity and items to all internal users of both inventory items and general consumables

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Generate regular reports on spare part inventory levels, usage, and trends for management review.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to inventory, receipts, and issuances.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and other relevant documents.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of warranty-related information for spare parts.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to understand their spare part requirements and provide support in identifying suitable suppliers.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, procurement, and finance, to ensure efficient spare part management processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior storekeepers, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and knowledge sharing.
