Job Summary / Role Description
- The Commissioning Electrical Loto Assistant executes the activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations and following the stated procedures.
- He reports to Commissioning Electrical Supervisor
- He is assigned to the Project by Commissioning Head of Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
His main responsibilities are:
- To implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for electrical equipment.
- Prepare the forms for all tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates, duly signed by involved parties for final hand over to the certification engineer (QA/QC).
- To assure the proper safety procedures are followed during cable tests (meggering, induction test), test of motors, transformers, relays, electrical panels etc.
- Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit
- To Work according to the project Permit To Work Procedure
- Execute with the assigned crew from the Sub Contractor all the activities pertaining to the discipline.
- Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables
- Ensure the execution of Vendor’s specialists field activities with the assigned resources from the Sub Contractor as per Vendor’s representative plan.
- Perform Checklist as per supervisor instructions.
- Assistance to supervisor for:
- Expediting of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning
- Superintendent (COT) priorities;
- Coordination and supervision of Construction support activities during the performance of the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
- University Degree or equivalent Study background.
Experience:
- Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as Commissioning Electrical Supervisor.
- Plants for the gas treatment
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, management skills
- Team-oriented skills, self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
