Consultants at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH)

The Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) was officially commissioned by the then President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on 9th March and began services officially on 26th March 2012. We are the first teaching hospital of a state university in the northern part of Nigeria. Situated in the southern part of North Central Nigeria, and far away from any Federal Government teaching hospital, we know we have a unique role to play.

Our vision is to provide excellent health care to the people of Benue State and the surrounding states. We intend to provide the best possible environment for teaching and research so that the dreams of both our students and consultants are realized, and in the process adding value to the society. We commit ourselves to working towards this vision, and we invite collaboration from all people and organizations of like mind.

We require Consultants in the following sub-specialties:

  • Gastroenterology
  • Endocrinology
  • Dermatology
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Paediatric Surgery
  • Anaesthesiology
  • General Surgery
  • Cardiology
  • Oncology
  • Otolaryngology (ENT)
  • Neurosurgery.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must possess the Part II Certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post- graduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the Sub-Specialty.
  • They must have current practicing licenses of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
