Job Title: Milling Assistant – Niger Mills Calabar

Location: Calabar, Cross River
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Job

  • To support the achievement of BU goals by providing effective assistance for efficient milling operations.

The Job

  • Monitor and take measurement of wheat and wheat products level in the storage silos.
  • Ensure compliance of safety standards within the milling environment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping & hygiene of the mill.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management Safety (FSMS) rules.
  • Coordinate the sampling and analyzing of flour streams.
  • Support mill maintenance activities and monitor the milling process to achieve optimum performance.
  • Manage the process of taking chemical draw rate.
  • Perform all other operational and administrative milling tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/ NABTEB.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

The Person Must:

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Have good time management skills and be result oriented.
  • Have keen attention to detail.
