We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tax Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • Must be able to evaluate client requirements, and plan, coordinate, and execute end-to-end tax projects for a wide range of corporate clients in multiple economic and industrial sectors
  • Overseeing the process of tax audit, making recommendations on policies, and ensuring that the organization fulfills international and governmental obligations of compliance.
  • Responsible for the tax team in the area of supervising, developing, and growing team members
  • Perform effective risk and control assessments.
  • Present tax audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency in the control, compliance and finance management, and documentation processes of clients
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to grow the business.
  • Ensure compliance, timely filing, and remittance of all taxes and levies (such as Expatriate PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, ET, business premises levy, development levy, etc.) within the government time frame.
  • Must be able to manage relationships with tax authorities and clients and support all tax audits.

Person Specification

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Must be a member of ICAN, CITN or related professional body.
  • Proven expertise in a wide range of tax matters, including income tax, international tax, transfer pricing, and tax planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
  • Advanced analytical skills to assess complex tax issues and develop effective solutions
  • Proficiency in tax software, accounting software, and other tools used in tax consulting.
  • Proven years of progressive experience in tax consulting, tax compliance, or related field
  • Minimum of Seven (7) years’ experience, of which at least three (3) years must be at management level
