Scholwin Foundation Montessori Schools is an educational institution that provides foundational education to young learners typically ranging from ages 1 to 11.It serve as the initial stage in a child’s formal education, laying the groundwork for future academic, social, and personal development. We are seeking for qualified and passionate teachers with the zeal to help us achieve our goals which are not limited to providing strong foundation in literacy and numeracy, fostering love for learning and curiosity, developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, building social skills, teamwork, and resilience, encouraging creativity and self-expression and instilling a sense of responsibility and discipline.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: School Teacher

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum guidelines and educational objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction using various teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess and evaluate pupils’ progress through tests, assignments, and examinations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the curriculum to meet educational standards and requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding students’ academic progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational trends, teaching methodologies, and subject matter.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and other stakeholders to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Manage and utilize classroom resources, including technology, textbooks, and supplementary materials effectively.
  • Foster a positive and interactive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
  • Implement and enforce classroom rules and disciplinary measures when necessary to maintain a respectful and focused learning environment.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field.
  • 3 – 5 years work experience.
  • Possession of a valid teaching certification or license
  • Ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner.
