Vagan Oil and Gas Limited is a Nigerian Private Limited liability Company registered under the Companies Acts of 1990, In line with the policies of the Nigerian service provision. The company core area of operation is to provide a broad spectrum of services ranging from Engineering, Pipeline & Flowline Construction / Repairs, Facility piping and maintenance, Wellhead & Christmas tree maintenance and servicing, Composite wrap technology, Equipment & Offshore/Marine Supplies, etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Supervisor (Operations / Maintenance)

Location: Onshore/Offshore, SPDC Escravos, Otumara West Asset, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Production Unit Manager
Start Date: 1st March 2024

Purpose

  • To provide in depth discipline expertise to resolution of every information technology issues in the node.
  • Provide management support during the implementation of any telecoms or IT related installations. From installation to implementation and handover.
  • Provide secondary technical support and supervision for Mobile Network GSM installations in the node.
  • Work with the telecoms teams to ensure 100% network availability in the node. Regular network monitoring.
  • Coordinate assigned Projects and supervise vendors to ensure work is carried out in line with SPDC HSSE policies. Permit to Work experience is required.
  • Provide infrastructure benchmarks and ensure projects are delivered to operations specification.
  • Technically contribute to strategies for resolving or improving a problematic System.
  • IT security and compliance management
  • To make inputs into new projects, link designs and implementation activities

  • HSE Representative, Operation Managers, Departmental Heads, Operations Superintendent, Team Leaders, Discipline Heads, OEMs, Project Team Leads.

Requirements

  • B.Eng (Hons) / B.Sc / HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Communications / Computer Engineering or Sciences. Master’s / PhD is an added advantage
  • Age: 60 years

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience IT/Telecoms service delivery and support
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of enterprise networked systems (desktops, laptops, print devices, servers, remote workstation, IP phones, Video Conferencing, IP surveillance Camera, Scanners, Soft phones etc.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of process control network (Deltav, Third party HMIs and PLCs).
  • Knowledge and understanding of routers and switches, and their interconnectivity with Microwave Radio Systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the PABX telephone system and its connectivity to the MDF and the desktop unit.
  • Knowledge of the Motorola Radio Network.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and other office applications.
  • Deep understanding of the CCTV systems
  • Deep understanding of FIDS (Fence Intrusion Detection System)
  • Knowledge in ACS (Access Control Systems) and PAGA (Public Address and Global Alarm System) operation and Maintenance.
  • Skill in budgeting for the installation and implementation of CCTV, FIDS, ACS and PAGA
  • Knowledge in Microwave Radio Operations and Maintenance
  • Understanding of data, voice and video integration to the carrier (Microwave Radio system).
  • Vast knowledge of the SPDC oil and gas locations and topologies.
  • Analytical and reporting skills.

  • Ability to manage relations with peers and senior EP business managers effectively in various organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, which are critical and required to develop the professional respect essential for successful performance.
  • Natural flair for documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of clients.
  • Formal Professional Training or Certification will be added advantage.

Work Cycle:

  • The work location is Swamp-field based (Escravos, Otumara axis) accessible via the Helicopter and Boat.
  • The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
  • There is a standard 3weeks on and 3weeks off schedule.
  • The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.
  • There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.
  • Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arise.
