Job Title: Team Lead, Data Centre Operations

Job Description

  • As the Team Lead for Data Centre Operations at ipNX, you will be responsible for efficiently managing data centre layout, environment, and infrastructure.

Your role includes:

  • Ensuring 99.5% power and cooling availability across all data centres.
  • Negotiating with service providers for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Reviewing and signing off on collocation and facility contracts.
  • Organizing monthly governance meetings with service providers.
  • Proactively detecting and resolving faults in data centres.
  • Planning and executing maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Implementing a Disaster Recovery Plan (DCP) for infrastructure facilities.
  • Managing assets faults and timely issue management.
  • Providing innovative ideas for service improvements.

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Telecommunications/Electrical Electronics Engineering / Computer Science).
  • 4+ years of experience in Telecommunications Operations management.
  • Proven experience in working with multiple suppliers/vendors/partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of mobile telecommunications network architecture/technologies.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to propose systems design and configuration improvements.
  • Experience in writing Asset Management Strategy, processes, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Data Centre management is an advantage.
