We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Construction Supervisor

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of Position

  • To oversee construction projects, ensure quality workmanship, manage construction teams, meet project deadlines while maintaining the highest standard of excellence.
  • They must be highly skilled and experienced construction supervisors, possess a deep understanding of structural components, have a keen eye for detail, excel in high-level finishing work and demonstrate a unique blend of patience and assertiveness.

Essential Duties / Key Job Roles and Responsibilities
include but not limited to the following:

  • Supervise and coordinate construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Manage and lead construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and on-site personnel, to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, providing technical guidance on structural elements, finishes, and quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to interpret construction plans, resolve technical issues, and implement changes if necessary.
  • Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and labor resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, environmental considerations, and quality assurance measures on site.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, management, and team members, to provide updates and address concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and budget updates.
  • Uphold a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence among construction teams.

  • Project Completion Rate: Ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting or exceeding project milestones and deadlines.

  • Safety Compliance: Achieve and sustain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and reducing incidents or accidents on site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in construction management are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction management.
  • Experience in overseeing high-level construction projects, emphasising structural design and finishing work.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards in the construction industry.
  • Previous work on residential, commercial, or mixed-use real estate projects preferred.
  • Expertise in interpreting construction drawings, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with architects, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain quality workmanship, adherence to project timelines, and compliance with industry standards.

Competencies for the Role:

Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 monthly.
