What will you be doing
Your work will focus on these main responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead and manage daily operation activities at the plant and assigned team.
  • Ensure that the condition of the plant and equipment is according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure that the work is executed at plant according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures as well as assigned operation plan.
  • Prepare reports, operation/maintenance plan and budget as instructed by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract in own responsibility area.
  • Ensure competent resources and competence development of the operation resources and assigned team.
  • Leading training programs and handling the training and development needs of new hires into the operations team.
  • Perform the Risk Assessment prior to start any maintenance work
  • Observe & ensure each employee using the PPE’s.
  • Review the work progress at the end of the day & ensure the progress is as per plan and ensure zero rework.
  • Apply trouble shooting skills to solve O&M problems.
  • Read and circulate Technical bulletins, safety and quality flashes to enhance the knowledge and share with team.
  • Identify and actively seek to improve operational reliability and availability of the plant.
  • Follow-up and optimise the operational costs of the plant.
  • Develop the operation working routines at the plant.
  • Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Approve maintenance time schedule taken into consideration operational requirements of the plant.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Operation Manager from time to time.

You will shine in this role, when you have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 – 8 years of similar experience preferably in Power Plant.
  • English Fluency is a must.
