Liaison Officer at Mobile Foundation for Health Security & Rehabilitation (MHSR)

Mobile Foundation for Health Security and Rehabilitation Nigeria (MHSR) is a Youth – led initiative that focuses on Mobile Health Services, Sexual Health Education, Mobile HIV / STI Screening, Human Right and Advocacy, Capacity Building, Mental Health, Research and Documentation, Establishment of support groups and rehabilitation of Key Population through housing initiative for community that are most at risk to infection and diseases especially the Adolescents. MHSR is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization dedicated to giving mobile health services, doing research, training, and advocacy for vulnerable groups especially Key Populations to improve their health and build their capacity for a better standard of living. MHSR was founded on March 1st, 2014 and aims to reach Key Populations with quality HIV holistic services through collaborations with partners.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Liaison Officer

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Description

  • The Liaison Officer at MHSR plays a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships with our clients.
  • With 2 – 4years of prior experience in a similar healthcare environment, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a strong understanding of the sensitive nature of fertility treatments.
  • They will serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing support, guidance, and ensuring a seamless experience in the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing timely and compassionate communication via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and provide accurate information regarding procedures treatments, and appointments.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to clients throuhought. Empathize with their concerns, alleviate anxieties, and provide resources for additional support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, meetings, trainings, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations such as client interactions, treatment plans, and any relevant information in the organization database.
  • Monitor client satisfaction levels and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement in services or processes. Work closely with the clinical team of MHSRto address client concerns and enhance the overall client experience.
  • Manage client appointments, including scheduling consultations, procedures, and follow-up visits. Coordinate with medical team and ensure efficient utilization of the resources.
  • Assist program officer to plan meetings, stakeholders meeting and othersin understanding what the organization stands for.
  • Collaborate with finance departments to resolve any payments inquiries or discrepancies.

Key Working Relationships:

  • Direct Supervisor: Program Manager
  • Indirect Supervisors: Clinic team, senior management Team

Qualifications and Skills

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND in Administration / Psychology or a related field.
  • 2 – 4years relevant work experience in a client-facing role within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex medical information in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding .
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. • Sensitivity to the emotional needs of clients undergoing fertility treatments, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
