Management Account Officer at the Bible Society of Nigeria

The Bible Society of Nigeria is a member of the United Bible Societies (UBS), a global fellowship of Non-Denominational Christian organization whose primary mission involves translation of the Holy Scriptures into languages people can easily read and understand as well as production and distribution of the Scriptures to meet the different needs of everyone. It also organizes programmes for engagement with the scriptures and raises funds for these activities.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Management Account Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Management Account Officer shall work with the Head of Management Accounts Unit to supervise and coordinate the activities of all BSN warehouses and depots in Nigeria towards guaranteeing profitable stocking of Scriptures.
  • S/he shall reconcile stock via the Sage accounting package, ensure efficient product positioning, prepare relevant accounting information to assist management in its planning, controlling, and decision-making activities from time to time, and ensure prompt payment of staff salaries and other statutory remittances on a monthly basis.
  • He / she shall ensure that all policies in line with stock administration and payroll administration, among others, are duly followed.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly stock reconciliation pan-Nigeria
  • Monthly reconciliation of cash control pan-Nigeria to reflect nil balance
  • Good product positioning pan-Nigeria
  • Escalate missing or damaged inventory to Supervisor
  • Preparation of Junior/Intermediate staff payroll on monthly basis
  • Preparation of statutory deductions for remittance to relevant authorities on monthly basis
  • Filing of annual tax returns to relevant authorities
