Transtidal Energy Limited is a wholly Indigenous Oil and Gas servicing company, founded in 2009 to assist Operator companies in areas of Oil and Gas Project management, Well Engineering Man power supply, OCTG inspection, Storage /Logistics, Oil tools rental and servicing.  At the moment, our core competence is OCTG inspection and management, focusing on casing and Tubulars, management, storage and ware housing of same for our clients.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mud Supervisor

Location: Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • Implement and promotes the company health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, regulations and objectives; and ensure, by appropriate monitoring and review, that work is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
  • Samples and analyzes drilling mud at regular intervals as well as whenever required in order to ensure smooth and efficient drilling operations;
  • Calculate and reports the daily low gravity solids percentages. Tests Oil Based Mud (OBM) upon receiving and reporting same to client
  • Plan mud and chemical requirements in accordance with drilling operational requirements;
  • Ensure the mud testing equipment are available on location, well maintained and calibrated;
  • Reports the daily and cumulative mud utilization and cost, estimation of mud lost, and addition of fluids;
  • Maintain an inventory of material and equipment related to area of operation. Advises and supervises rig-crew during transfers;
  • Demonstrate commitment to the safety security and health of employees, contractors and service providers, carrying out proactive global Safety Security program that emphasizes through systematic application of safe work practices and use of hazard recognition, intervention and mitigation process in office and field locations
  • Follow Operations Safety Security Health and Environment Plan and coordinate with the operation
  • Communicate changing conditions to provide adjustments to the Drilling procedures, contributing to the identification of changes in plans, procedures, equipment or personnel in key positions
  • Ensure potential pollution control matters are considered and relative contingency plans are understood by rig and third party personnel
  • Ensure proper documentation of drilling fluid inventory and management of same.

Requirements

  • BSc in Chemical Enginnering
  • Clear Kwoledged of drilling fluids aand selection of drill bits
