Transtidal Energy Limited is a wholly Indigenous Oil and Gas servicing company, founded in 2009 to assist Operator companies in areas of Oil and Gas Project management, Well Engineering Man power supply, OCTG inspection, Storage /Logistics, Oil tools rental and servicing.  At the moment, our core competence is OCTG inspection and management, focusing on casing and Tubulars, management, storage and ware housing of same for our clients.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Principal Drilling Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in use of well design tools including WELLCAT,Compass, and well plan
  • Establishing and administering drilling and service contracts;
  • Prepare well data sheets
  • Design and select well-head equipment and other dirlling accessories in accordance with well design
  • Designing directional well paths (horizontally or multi-laterally, as appropriate);
  • Contribute to conceptual field development design
  • Working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitor progress during drilling;
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of the drilling team;
  • Ability to undertake engineering design and the planning of wells (including development work);
  • Obtaining relevant data, carrying out engineering analysis on site and recommending necessary actions and writing up reports;
  • Monitoring the daily progress of well operations;
  • Drawing up drilling programmes, taking account of desired production flow rates;
  • Adhering to environmental protection standards, in some cases through direct discussion with local governments to ensure compliance with legislative requirements;
  • Monitoring safety and ensuring the good maintenance of the well
  • Keeping track of current daily costs, comparing actual costs with expenditure proposals and recommending cost-effective changes;
  • Liaise with specialist contractors and suppliers, such as cement companies or suppliers of drilling fluids
  • Monitor safety and ensure the good maintenance of the well
  • Design directional well paths (horizontally or multi-laterally, as appropriate)
  • Challenge well designs to meet subsurface goals; delivered objectives for all 8 well projects on time, in budget, and with no HSE issues.
  • Gain consensus and approval for numerous Authorizations for Expenditures with cost effective budgeting, detailed reporting, and strong presentation.
