Procurement Analyst at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA)

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Analyst

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: NRS
Duration: 6 months renewable

Duties

  • Assist in conducting supply market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their products and services, and provide analysis as may be necessary to conduct efficient procurement.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet organizational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies.
  • Assist in managing procurement activities including sourcing, vendor negotiation, and contract management.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and clear records and documentation related to procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement activities align with project objectives and goals.
  • Ensure on-time delivery, challenge non-compliance in areas of responsibility, purchase order monitoring and updating.
  • Monitor and track daily/weekly supplier deliveries by liaising with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing monthly supply chain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports as may be required.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a reporting system that measures the contribution of the procurement processes.
  • Promote excellent customer service; identify, review, and implement strategies to improve service, quality, and efficiency.
  • Assist in facilitating and coordinating best procurement practice, tendering and contracting.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Provide procurement support and guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • BSc / HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
