Job Title: Travel and Logistics Specialist – (SW & North Nigeria)

Role Summary/Purpose

  • This role will provide local level security support for GE personnel and locations in the South West States, North Central, North East, North West Nigeria due to heightened security concerns in the region

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide security logistics support to GE businesses to ensure that all our actions and activities are assessed and security risks minimized to ALARP
  • Provide local level information gathering, analysis and dissemination to serve as an early warning mechanism and reduce GE exposure to security incidents and concerns
  • Maintain interface with GE travelers and businesses to ensure SCM Team knows who is where in the region
  • Provide ongoing security awareness training to GE personnel working and traveling to the region
  • Provide incident management support and first level reporting in the region
  • Support security and logistics planning and implementation
  • Point of contact for security matters for GE EEs and visitors in the region
  • Journey management planning for all road trips the region
  • Support implementation of all incident response procedures by our security consultants
  • Support implementation of GE security management processes in the region
  • Liaise with GE’s security providers in the region
  • Conduct and support training and security orientation for GE staff working and travelling in the region
  • Supporting Security awareness programs focused on region
  • Maintain awareness of GE personnel in location

Reports:

  • Provide incident reports and updates to Nigeria SCM Team
  • Provide information to the SCM Team on local community issues and potential threats

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
  • Professional attitude promoting the GE Beliefs
  • Communication skills necessary for interacting with personnel in and outside organizations.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member or independently.
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely reports within a strict reporting framework.
  • Must be creative, imaginative and stable in character, well organized and have power of persuasion, capable to interface with management, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders
  • Effective in communications, analytical, good multi-tasking skill, must understand security thinking
  • Tactical thinker

Job Title: Payroll Leader, West Africa

  • Payroll Leader is responsible for the quality delivery of payroll processes to the GE businesses through an outsource payroll platform.
  • The incumbent will have an in-depth knowledge of GE Payroll & Benefits systems, processes and procedures and also of national legislative rules.

  • Advise on difficult and sometimes complex questions/requests from employees, managers and the HR community concerning payments, allowances and tax treatments in a professional, courteous & timely manner
  • Review payroll entries and files to ensure they meet the necessary quality & compliance requirements
  • Preparation of reporting & associated statistics
  • Participate in internal & external payroll audits
  • Deal with operational issues and process failures, identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Develop action plan to mitigate operational risks or resolve escalated issues

Job Title: LCT Installation Leader – Healthcare

Role Summary/Purpose

  • The Local Customer Team (LCT) Installation Leader will lead the installation and project management team.
  • She/he will own projects backlog execution on time, within budget and within scope and quality constraints.
  • She/he shall drive medical equipment delivery, installation, testing acceptance and sales transfers for West Central Africa (Nigeria, Ghana and Angola).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensure sound Project Management methodologies are utilized to manage the 3 corner stones ofprojects: 1) Scope, 2) Cost and 3) Schedule
  • Accountable for proper handover from the Commercial Sales team, including detailed review and alignment of T&C’s, scope and customer request date
  • Conduct internal kick off meetings for all projects, including risk assessments and defining quality toll gates
  • Conduct external kick off meetings with customers for large or complex projects
  • Visits customer sites weekly
  • Ensures a process is in place and drives proper closure of all projects including 100% of snag/punch list items to ensure timely cash collection
  • Drives customer satisfaction; builds strong customer relations
  • Ensures a process is in place for proper projects documentation with easy access by all stakeholders
  • Manage supplier relationship, drives price productivity and cost out strategies in alignment with the Sourcing organization
